You mean upgrade?

@SylverReZ How is Windows 11 an "upgrade", when it lacks so many customisation features and handy shortcuts and stuff? No, I agree with Richard here - it's a definite downgrade from how feature-complete 10 is.

You can't move the Start menu and taskbar to the sides of the screen, only the bottom. You can't edit the taskbar anywhere near as much as in Windows 10. You can't drag files onto app icons on the taskbar to open with said app, like you can in Windows 10, etc.

I'm doing fine with Win 11, although not much good as Win 10.

LTSC, support until 2032!

For details on what's been idiotically dropped between W10 and 11 - .

@SAIYAN48 Hopefully there'll be LTSC; that hasn't been announced yet, as far as I know.

Oh, and as for "migrate to Linux", which I've seen many people comment...yeah, no. It doesn't natively support .exe apps, which means many of the programs I frequently use (like, say, save editors, Cheat Engine, and emulators) won't run on Linux. Sure, Wine's a thing, but I've never gotten that to work on my Macbooks, so I don't trust it on Linux - and besides, that's just a band-aid for lack of actual support.

Not to mention games themselves; many of them are still Windows-only, even in 2023 (and likely still in 2025). AI: The Somnium Files? Marvel's Spider-Man? Persona games? Plenty of others, too? All Windows-only.
So "migrate to Linux" isn't gonna work - and since W11 is so blatantly retarded, at the moment, W10's where it's at, for the foreseeable future.

@SAIYAN48 That clearly says "Windows 11", not 10.

@RichardTheKing What issues have you had with WINE? Generally it's pretty easy to set up, being just 1 - 2 commands. I've heard that Macs always have issues getting it up and running, but I've never had any issues with it on standard Linux. Most standard EXEs work as well without issues, the only problems you'll see are with games, which is a fair point you brought up.

@Korozin Oh, okay then; I wasn't aware Wine worked much better on Linux. Thanks for the heads-up.
I haven't used Linux much at all, outside of like one or two university subjects, so I haven't used Linux-Wine at all.
