The glitches, the visual issues, the slowdown, and all the needless nerfs to base stats, Abilities, moves, and movepools, alongside still not having Exp. Share toggle and now removing Set/Switch toggle...yep, completely unplayable. Here I thought XY was awful, a decade ago, but now it's a goddamn masterpiece compared to this.

Even Sword/Shield is better than this, and it's boring as heck to play.

And that's why the older generations are better.

I know; currently playing through Omega Ruby, and while I don't like this version of May, or the autoheals, or how Mega Evolution disables Pokemon-Amie benefits (including boosted Exp) or how Wally forcibly drags you to Mauville when there's plenty of places you can now Surf near Petalburg (ugh why), it's still mostly enjoyable. Very glad I gave up playing Sword in favour of this.

Also, most of Gen 6's nerfs can be reversed through ROM editing, so that's another thing it's got over SV.

Have you heard of one of the first Pokemon S/V mods on GameBanana being one to completely mute the Ed Sheeran song during the credits.

Yeah, not that I know who Eddie is, what that song is, or why people hate it so much; literally haven't watched a single bit of SV trailers or footage whatsoever. Only checked the Smogon nerf thread, and a few Serebii pages about the game.

@RichardTheKing Unplayable? Yes, it's a buggy mess, but none of the issues affect playability, they are mainly visual. I personally have mainly experienced visual glitches, and a few minor annoyances with the mechanics. And one time a bunch of Pokemon spawned inside a cave wall. It is a bit jarring though. I hope they patch it.

The games are great, but all the issues don't give a good first impression and may even turn some off from playing it at all. Apart from the bugs they are the best Pokemon games since the GBA.

I highly, and politely, disagree with that, Jdbye; with all the unfortunate nerfs to base stats, Abilities (Protean/Libero's no longer fun), PP, and not having every move, the Switch titles are garbage in my eyes. They could've been great, had GF done a lot of buffing instead of nerfing, but they're trash compared to BW2, HGSS, Platinum, and even Ultra Sun/Moon and ORAS.

I've got way more notifications if I'm being honest.

Funny thing is I haven't noticed a single nerf, and wouldn't even know they existed if you hadn't mentioned it.

Yeah, they fucked over recovery moves; they pretty much all have 5 PP now, which is bullshit. Screws over so many bulky Pokemon, it does. Not to mention Pokemon losing access to moves they used to have (one example being Scald now being exclusive to Volcanion - who already has the superior Steam Eruption, so why?), and the aforementioned Protean/Libero destruction and Zamazenta's needless weakening.
