I have a hard time NOT embedding a YouTube video.
Just copy+paste the link forces the embedding for me; it replaces the link with:
[MEDIA=youtube]kQ0Eo1UccEE[/MEDIA] (Example from https://gbatemp.net/help/bb-codes/)
showing the embedded player.

I wish it wouldn't do that but keep the link intact instead.

This reminds me of your problem uploading a picture to your signature. My advise hasn't changed -- and you certainly won't follow that advise.

Nah, doing so just copies the link, but the video is not shown: at least it's so from android mobile.

Now I succeeded by manually writing the YouTube code between [media] and [/media].
