So is Germany at this point? In my country, unfortunately or fortunately, the Parliament is fragmented in several opposing positions (as always 🤣) but the vast majority of parties are counting on negotiations, and hope in the mediation of China and India to convince Russia to reason. Italians, also for a certain lazy and cowardly nature 😅, are all for peace.

"My greatest fear is that I live nowhere near a primary target."
You could have spared yourself this victimistic and self-harming statement. I can't believe that you don't find in your daily life some reasons of joy, interest and happiness, however small: good food, the beauty of nature, the sweetness of women, animals, doing sports and gymnastics etc.

Honestly: I do not know.

In the last 15 years I thought we had left behind this attitude. Now many – not the Bundestag only – see arming (us here) and sending weapons not only as good, but as a move without alternatives. 100,000,000,000€ extra(!) for military. Not that our military budget was low before, but – personal opinion:
Bundeswehr isn't combat-ready. It is a clown-association!

A huge portion of the military budget went to… no idea? Fraud, corruption. Billions of € and we have defective stuff, retired weapons, missing ammunition… Not too happy about the waste of tax money, but I am/was satisfied with a non-functioning army.

Want an example HOW stupid Germany really is/was? Well…

"A large number of change requests and high bureaucratic requirements such as a total of 117 legal provisions and regulations to be complied with, including curious requirements such as the possibility of transporting heavily pregnant female soldiers prescribed by the Workplace Ordinance, but also a large number of considerable qualitative problems delayed the delivery and drove up the costs"
