Classic role model did have a reason; a necessity to let our species survive: Doing the hunting while pregnant isn't gonna work well – and exposes the unborn offspring to dangerous situations.
Our civilization, society, inventive talent and technology have nullified at lot of natural risks and the need for high physical strength. We owe our position on Earth not the least to the mastery of fire. There is no reason…

…to limit women from doing everything men do (anymore). But equally, there is no reason in trying to force girls to do things they do not want. Denying differences in average(!) interests – male compared to female – is plain stupid. Let people do what they want, not what they should according to self-proclaimed emancipators. My deepest desire was having own children. A dream brutally crushed when I was 14.

It took almost two decades to overcome this. Today I’m happy that I don’t have own kids. What is done to children of both sexes nowadays is horrible. They are forced to accept an education that often contradicts their natural feelings – all in the name of equality and anti-discrimination.

Sexism and racism haven’t been eradicated. They changed the (accepted) target while this is defined as anti-[bad thing].

@KleinesSinchen I particularly appreciate your first post and your anthropological /evolutionary interpretation of the matter. But the problem of education/ formation/ child's mind shaping is more relevant than ever. Today, who to entrust the task to, given that the woman is often a caricature of man, and both devote a crumb of their time to their children?

there's so much to unpack here and i dont think i have the energy to do it but like, of all the things to pick out as masculine you pick a priest? men who wear dresses and listen to peoples' problems for a living? even if we go far out on a limb and assume anything in this post has merit, surely this is exactly the specific stereotypical emotional and intellectual role for a woman?

@Scarlet I used the term priest to translate the Italian term "prete," which has always been a male function in the Catholic Church. More than confessing I had in mind preaching and directing the church service. It was just an example....Besides I claim no merit for this post of mine, just a pretext for discussion.;)

The core of the matter was that raising children is the most important "job", and today's woman doesn't want to (or can't due to lack of time and energy) do it anymore with dedication. In my country we see the consequences every day: juvenile delinquency.

@Nikokaro You know my opinion: Dangerous to set a provocative status. Oversimplified statements, potential for misunderstandings. Deviating from mainstream denomination can trigger a "biting reflex"
In the 1990s, maybe early 2000s, I'd perceived this as a good starting point for discussion. Today instilled self-censorship prevents me from publicly airing thoughts.

Differences between the sexes are not only there, they are good. Women and men complement each other. Utopia of female-only society is dystopian for me.
The intensity of indoctrination is frightening. Little boys are often treated like vermin and taught to feel guilty because they are “privileged” → “Demonizing masculinity”
All the girls(!) at school noticed that the boys got worse grades for same performance.
