Offensive and disrespectful comparison, even said in jest.
Religion, even symbolically, is the opposite of the penis and what it represents.
Religion has nothing to do with being proud, but rather with humility, simplicity and silence.
About not waving it at others, I agree, but I don't like this vulgar language, moreover coming from a parent.

The report button is there, if you find it that offensive then please feel free to report it. there is absolutely no vulgarity there period. Unless like YouTube you find the anatomical term "penis" offensive

If the joke has offended you I sincerely apologise but humor (at least used to be) is used to open a dialogue up about a subject and not to shock or offend. If you would like to talk about this further then my inbox is open as always but please bear in mind that replies will be slow as these two small posts have taken me over 40 minutes to type as it is very very painful

It's a joke and nothing more. I had absolutely no intention to cause any offense. Have you ever wondered why we have seen a drop in comedy movies, tv shows? it's because everyone is offended by everything and people go out of their way to be offended. (1/7)

Look at the classic nursery rhyme Bah bah black sheep created in 1744 and banned in 2014 for being racist and sexist for the line "little/naughty boy who lives down the lane". It's talking about a literal black sheep and it's in no way shape or form a person and a boy who lives in a house at the end of a road. Where is the line drawn? Do we go back and exsponge anything racist/sexist/ect (2/7)

Or do we use it as a talking point to discuss why thing were that way or to use as an example as to why that way was wrong and things can't go back and actually learn from our mistakes. What we are currently doing is essesically white washing history but doing this we dont actually learn. (3/7)

I respect your views and opinions but at the same time you have to respect where I'm coming from and my views and opinions. As Netizens we generally have the freedom of speech. but with that freedom, it doesn't come with freedom from conserquences. But those conserquneces must be preportional and tempered by the knowlage that the person I am today may not be the person I am tomorrow. (4/7)

I have done and said things in the past that current me finds abhorrent but for those things I have done my best to applogise, grow and learn from. I don't need promises of a heavenly afterlife to be a good person. I'm a good person because it's what I want to be. I dont need to be told I'm going to Hell because I stole £1 from my mum when I was five, even less so while im shopping. (5/7)

I've studdied religion. Not just as part of my upbringing or education but on a completely indepenant basis and after a lot of reading and talking to people I came to one conclusion. That religion should be a personal thing. Great if you want to share and come together as a community. Dont use fear tactics to get people to try and follow your partiular religion. (6/7)

I dont subscibe to any particular religion but that doesnt mean I cast aside their teachings. It bothers me quite a lot how simmilar the major religions actually are and how they can't set aside their relitively small differnces and focus on the things that should bring them together (7/7)

I get your point. So many words. I was only criticizing the language used; mixing the sacred and the profane. Agree that religion is a personal matter. I too can't stand preachers, especially hypocritical ones. Fear of hell and desire for heaven have nothing to do with true religion, which is to be practiced without thirst for profit. To clarify, I am not a Christian but I practice a certain spirituality.
