@Jiehfeng If you got it on sale, its not a bad game for comic fans. The game really only suffers from the small amount of post content which is also affected by the very low player base.
If it goes free to play and more people play it, it could have a nice resurgence. You might get some founders rewards or something lol
@GoldenBullet Yeah it was a good sale. My worry was if it goes F2P then I just wasted money paying for it, but if I get more out of it like you say then I'm good lol. Thanks. :P
Anthem v2.0 was cancelled earlier this year, as was Artifact v2.0 (Valve's go at Hearthstone), from memory; I wouldn't be shocked to hear Avengers being cancelled too.
Just goes to show how inherently risky "live-service" really is.
Indeed, AAA needs to stop putting their eggs in the "live-service" basket so much, and start diversifying again. Sure, if that basket works they can milk consumers through monetisation, but how often does that work? Meanwhile more traditional games work well.
