Nah. It needs to improve - it needs to get rid of equipment fragility and limited stamina, for sure, and have faster and more fluid combat.
I found the original to be a boring, generic open-world game with needless, artificial limitations; I much prefer Ass Creed Origins, and especially Ghost of Tsushima, due to them doing this shit RIGHT.

They have better combat, they don't have unnecessary limitations, they have more interesting worlds to explore (feudal Japan > ancient Egypt > some empty, lifeless wasteland that's supposed to be Hyrule).
BotW2 can also learn from PROPER LoZ games - for example, Twilight Princess had the best combat the series has ever had, and neither it nor TWW were bogged down by artificial limitations.

It would be nice to have at least realistic durability. Maybe double the stamina. And the combat can be slow at times- the attack rush thingy is still jank. AND DO SOMETHING ABOUT THE DAMN RAIN. But those are just my suggestions. In general, it’s an extremely easy game. And a good one- just not a Zelda game to me. I won’t really be a fan anymore if they keep going this direction with Zelda after BOTW 2

Yeah, I've been wanting a new traditional game for ages; the last one was 2013's A Link Between Worlds, which was basically just a modernised Link to the Past (so not exactly fully "new"). Since then, all we've gotten on that front are remasters of older games.
I'd still like Oracle of Seasons/Ages to be remade, for sure (the GBC architecture heavily gimped them), but something brand-new would be fantastic.

An Oracle of Seasons/Ages remake would be great. And I much prefer linearity like OOT as opposed to BOTW’s... pick a random direction

One big thing that keeps me interested in exploring Ghost of Tsushima's world is all those question marks and other markers, telling me there's plenty of stuff to find and exactly where it is - instead of just leaving me stranded in a huge empty world with no idea what to fucking DO and expecting me to look for and pin stuff myself where I'm likely going to miss a huge number of things screw off with that nonsense

@Scott_pilgrim That's because Mojang had enough sense to give weapons, tools, and armour hundreds (if not over a thousand) of uses, instead of just a handful, along with having those Unbreaking and Mending enchantments. This makes the things feel less like soggy toilet paper and actually feel *useful*.

Except for shovels; for some reason, they feel especially flimsy, since they seem to eat through their durability faster than anything else. Weird.

Eh, I don’t really use shovels
