I have an HTC Aria, running CM7 2.3 Gingerbread. What are some must have android apps I can use on my phone? Much help is appreciated!

The usual Twitter,Facebook... other apps that i use are titanium backup (for backing up apps,system data) and some cool games ive found recently are 'dead runner' (cool accelerometer game) and droid shooting.. which is an awesome augmented reality shooter but drinks alot of battery

Question, anyone know how I can stop getting notifications from the installed SMS and only get notifications from chompSMS?

well if u are rooted u can just freeze the normal SMS app from titanium backup

I'm on CM7, so it may be different in stock messaging, but you can go within the messaging application: menu > settings > notification settings > uncheck notifications.

I've just joined the 'Android Crowd' and got the HTC Desire HD (Was a' Nokia Fanboy' originally), however one thing I'd like to know........Which of these are truely 'Free' ?

What I mean is which of these Apps DO NOT require a internet connection and are NOT 'AD Supported'

I'm on PAYG so don't have a unlimited internet connection (I usually use any free WiFi avaliable - usually it turns out to be my own) & I've been caught out several times with Nokia's so-called 'Free' apps - which once installed require an internet connection to download Ads (In particular I'd like the 'Angry Birds' game)

@cannon, There are ways to easily disable the 3g radio to prevent ads making you lose money.

You might want to consider going to t-mobile and get an internet booster for payg. £20 for unlimited internet for 6 months. That's £3.33 a month.

Unlikely that I will change...

Main reason is that where I work (inside a factory) you can't get get a good signal with any network except those that use the Vodaphone network....& I'm on ASDA PAYG Mobile 'cos it's cheap & I don't use the phone enough to warrant paying £15-30/mth for 'free' minutes and text that I doubt I'll use

IF I do start using TXTing & Data connection more - I may just go for Talkmobiles 'SIMpletalker' @ £5.11 for 100 Min/Txt/Mb per month, as I believe they also use the Vodaphone network
