It's just disgusting how long that food can last. I've had a mcbacon in Germany this summer, and a guy had tested it. The only thing that molded after a while was the bacon and the lettuce. I immediatly feld like putting that thing in the trash.
but the worst thing is, if it isn't beef, then what is it that millions of people eat?

Beef... BAHAHAHAHAAA!

Excuse me, I need to go laugh like the Joker for about an hour...

Of course it's beef. It's hardly fine dining, but there's nothing in a McDonald's burger other than beef and seasoning. It doesn't need anything to hold it together because of the way it's quick frozen. Leave the patties out of the freezer for a while and you'll just end up with a big pile of ground beef.

As for what happens to the food over time, you'll find that with pretty much anything that's cooked in a way that removes most moisture, make fries at home and leave them in a dry place and they'll not go mouldy, just mummify. Bacteria needs water to break the food down. Eating fast food all the time's not great for your wellbeing, but there's nothing magical about it that means you can't digest it like any other food. Leaving it in a dry place for a while isn't a great comparison to digestion. Chop it up, pour some liquid on it and then see what happens. In fact, pour some weak acid on it.

A Happy Meal isn't full of scary artificial chemicals, it's full of perfectly natural things - unfortunately it's natural things that are not particularly good for you in large quantities.

I read somewhere that it might not be chemicals that are preventing it from decomposing, but a high concentration of fat. but whatever. you still die early.

Why does it look like the top bun's and fries' positions were changed in the pictures? On day 94 the top bun was ripped and on 137 it looked normal again...
