Hello everyone
So recently I am working on a native, minimized Friday Night Funkin' demo
Which including
- 1.A working note hitting system
- 2.Minimized chart format
- 3.Playable song 'Tutorial'
- 4.OGG stream audio
I know there is a lot of detail I haven't implement
But at least it's working, isn't it :)
have fun with it

Nice work! This may be outside of your scope, but if you develop the project enough perhaps you could port it to Wii, so it could be played with a DDR dance pad? Could be even more fun!

That's a GREAT idea
But ill finish this one first : )
Currently ive tried it on my 3ds
but there's a strange sdmc:/3ds text on the bottom of the screen
i assume it's the problem citro failed to render whole screen on it
so they let it stay here lol
Also ive tried to PTMSYSM_ConfigureNew3DSCPU(0b11); if PTMSYSM_CheckNew3DS returns a true
it worked, but the input got messed up
Key Release event seems like never been triggered
and if force it to disable it just stop displaying anything

aight pressable long notes here
Although it doesn't look very good, it saves machine performance
we still need to render the stage

I was trying it on Citra, you say it has OGG streaming but I couldn't hear it.
Other than that it's looking good, are you still working on it?

Good luck!

EDIT: Welp I guess Citra doesn't do a good job, tried it on my 3DS and it works perfectly. Yay!

oh i know this problem, you need 3ds/dspfirm.cdc file in your virtual sd card in order to make it actually work, that troubles me at first, too
P.S. It can be just an empty file, it just need to be exists

also im running into a strange problem recently, that is when i tried to load another song (in this example darnell), it just crashes 3ds, but it doesnt on citra, is it runnning out of mem??

It does sound like a memory issue yes. You need to optimize it to make it not do that. I AI code all my homebrew projects (judge or not, idc lol, I do things I'm interested in personally then open source and share it all with the world and it has my passion and heart and soul put into it) and I have run into memory issues in the first stages of development, then I work on tweaking and optimizing it to make it run better. If you're not doing so already, explore implementing AppMemType as it can be an instant performance boost to any homebrew that Nintendo natively implemented, you just have to declare it in your CIA.
