As a just-joined member I can´t post links but there´s this YT channel that used to be cool but now just wants people to use his AiO updater instead of using the original repos for the proyects that he presents and he even refused to do so after I kindly (well, I was probably not so "kind") asked him to. Channel is "Alucardio - Mundo Switch", and he is even providing illegal copies of the games ported in his AiO updater.

I think this can not be allowed

The githubs require all sorts of tools to compile the projects and often need complex compilers. His app lets it be hassle free without having to use a pc and have some sort of deeper computer knowledge to get them working. Yeah... shhh ;)

Why report it here and not to Youtube? And please do not link to the channel here either.

I am not saying "don´t use his AiO", I know it makes things easier and it is really usefull but he also should provide the official dev´s repository and give him some credit. This arrogant "youtubber" just straight up steals the proyect and gives 0 credit for it.

Because you need to be the copyright holder in order to report it for that. Or I´m maybe too stupid and don´t know how. Nevertheless I also think the community must know about this because he is profiting with someone else´s work. Please feel free to correct me if I´m wrong

I'm sure you can report or flag it but why not alert the dev's in question then?

People know to avoid YouTube videos for this sort of thing anyway as they quickly go out of date so i feel the imapct to the community is minimal but I do agree with your sentiment of alerting people to it and of course those affected should be made aware.

I did get in touch with the dev last night and he even replied in the video comment section so he´s aware of this and he is not happy about it

Was checking this dude's video and god damn, he treats homebrew, mods and ports as if they just appear out of thin air, gives absolutely no credit about anything, it's also funny that literally puts his name on his AIO Updater MOD as an "Author" when all he does is just upload an AIO Updater with just a bunch of links preconfigured. All while trying to profit from it all.

Scummy shit.
