We see more and more that Claude is being used to decompile left and right, and Nintendo is just one threat against it but seen from any corporation's POV you're taking away the opportunities they had to keep their source code and make more releases in the future, and keep their business going steady.
The result of people recompiling shit left and right is that corporations are banding together and going to their government with lobbying and lawsuits, because this isn't sustainable for them. Long-term that accelerates the thing that's already happening where datacenter owners and the government is hoarding computer components and slowly eroding the rights to even own hardware privately.
