I've gone from liking to strongly disliking them as a company (analogue) because of a persistent track record of how they've handled products for some years now. Watching them squirm and care about quality and crushing bugs and promised lacking features on things is refreshing reminding them of what they once were.
Seeing the early gripes on the A3D I ignored it because I had my n64 with marshalls UltraHDMI inside of it. But, seeing the progress now on the M64 I've taken notice. I didn't buy a Chromatic for the same reasons, already had something modded I was happy with I did, but opportunity struck to grab one of them, 1st editiong sapphire with a pack of goodies for a price too good to ignore and it hooked me on their quality after seeing the work of before they got into this level of operation.
My beef with analogue is how they handled and still have mishandled the pocket/dock combo and a few other released items since. Also their extortionate pricing on the shipping charges of their consoles and items. It should never cost $15 for a cable and like $30 for shipping on a 4oz package shipping just a few states away in the US. The pocket at preorder had a list of promised features, at launch a lot were missing or bugged out. I got mine due to their foul up a year later tucked into group B and still in that time, little fixed. I got rid of what I had selling it to break even to a happy person not being gouged. History would have it I'd end up with an open box new one locally notabley less than retail (theirs, not scalpers) with a dock just shortly after a March update. That update was 3 years late, finally got it to properly detect controllers wired/wireless and auto-set the buttons right, but also saved the display settings of the Pocket in the dock. Before hand anything that was not wide like GBA it would lose the zoom, scaling, etc all video settings on sleep/power off which was infuriating. Also (and still broken) you can't manually configure your buttons for play as it's grayed out. They care, just enough to get enough working then stop.
