Meh. We thought this with Sonic Crossworlds but that's already down to normal price.

Steam Machine? Valve already said they're not trying to be competitive, just to put something out. It's a benchmark really - one I don't see the appeal of.

I'm fairly happy with where Nintendo is at, at least on hardware. Their games might not be as good as 20 years ago, but that's true across the whole industry. Teams are too big and costs too high for any studio to make anything that's not got broad mainstream appeal.

I dunno first time hearing about gta6 and this steam machine thing being expensive.
yeah podcasts just regurgitating news and a couple people talking arent really my thing either. i prefer forum talk where people can read on a topic and comment on it over podcasts. alot more value and alot more input in forum talk than preachy podcasts.

High prices? Not at all. We already got plenty of 100+ usd collector's Edition games that used to come with plenty of exclusive collectibles. Now we're all just willingly getting scammed trying to join a queue for the purchase of a overpriced digital game thinking we have to get it early before the supply ''runs out''

Lol this will be the last gta guarantee.. so the hefty price tag is meh you get what you pay for and this will be one of the best open world games to date. Tho I'd hold off until physical copies. I'd like to have atleast something tangible lol

You aren't going to get a physical copy. They already announced the "physical" edition is an empty box with a download code.

I think he's saying they might print physical copies later down the road as a big part of this is to stop leaked copies from getting out plus GTA prices always dip.

That seems a bit silly, wherever that rumour started there's no way it's going to happen.

Plenty of cracked PS5s the scene can rip a digital from, aren't there? Hell, did Sony EVER patch out the PSN server access the scene got going like a decade ago?

As far as @44:00 in the cast - Steam exclusive would NOT do a damn thing for Steamingpileof-maSHene because that would get cracked immediately as most Steam titles do and people that desperate can just grab some half a decade used laptop with better specs off the used market and enjoy much more.

Industry absolutely dug their own hole with going digital-only and expanding games from console exclusives, and they can reap what they've sown.

Definitely not as simple as installing a cracked copy to PC vs hacked ps5.

Granted, but other companies had the balls to PC release day one and profits were perfectly fine since most people got say, Wilds, FOR multiplayer and no one is risking a ban over $70. I'm certain nowadays Sony cuts devs millions for exclusivity to help drive hardware sales if nothing else and then it makes sense to to do for the agreed term, but not over piracy concerns.
