Hey all,

I search for quick help and noob question awnser :D

Long short story, I update Atmosphere from old version (HOS 16.X) to last + hekate to last version. Since this update emuMMC + sys cannot boot at all. EmuMMC with error 2002-4336 Program 01000...00C (normal boot fail with 2002-4314).

I first try to remove all SYSTEM and USER save using Hekate to mount my emuMMC (no change). I try some cleanup (but kept the content folder)

Finally remove the save folder using NXNand to mount by emuMMC from file give me a new error.

I'm now endup with :
- emuMMC : 2162-0002 for app 0100...001E
- sysMMC : just black screen after nintendo logo

As I test multiple operation, I start believed I will not be able to recover ...

Setup :
- Emummc on sdcard
- FileBased
- Hekate work
- Backup ... not a lot

So few questions :
- It's normal that number and file size are different when I mount emummc from hekate and from nxNand using sdcard emuMMC file ?
- I delete the content of this folder : kip_patches (the only one that I delete without doing backup first...) it's a pbl ?
- SigPath can prevent to boot ? or just start a game ?
- If I rebuild from scratch, can I do it even if normal OS don't work (don't understand why it stop working as I normally do everything on SDCard)
- If I rebuild from scratch, PartitionBase is better than fileBase ? I read multiple article, file base simplest to manage but seems to have more risk or corruption (lag seems to me not important)
- Most important, If I rebuild from scratch, can I backup my emuMMC game save easily ? I found a post here "checkpoint with nand" but half of scripts and link are dead ... As it's file based, can I "just" copy past some folder/files ?
- Most important, If I rebuild from scratch, can I backup my emuMMC game easily ? I have a 400go card and just boring to re-install all ... As it's file based, can I "just" copy past some folder/files ?

Any guidance, link, tools are welcome :) Thanks

Thanks a lots, I didn't test the restore for now but seems to work as I have multiple title id and files inside :D

One question solved :yay:

If your sysMMC is working again, you can install DBI/GoldfLeaf/Checkpoint to backup all your save games (if they are still there).
For a full nand backup, just use Hekate.
For a backup of your emummc, just copy everything from the SD card.

Thanks, I finally recreate emuMMC from scratch. Look like by sdcard was broken (or I break it with my multiple operation, nut sure).

I still have one pbl with the game backup. I follow the tuto, I'm able to restore the backup (after finding the title ID and put in the correct folder :D). But in game, the backup have message "backup not compatible with this game version". I suppose I need to install the correct path/upgrade, but do I have any way to check in the backup which version is correct ?
In this case it's Dead cell, I don't remember which upgrade I install on my old emuMMC ... I have the "raw save" from nxNadManager + "convert save" from saveExtract tool.

But in game, the backup have message "backup not compatible with this game version"
If you are talking about old save games not working with the game you newly installed, then try installing the base game without the updates and see if your backup saves games are recognized.
Maybe this particular games doesn't properly migrate save files with each update.
