Should work with any version. Rename the serial name folder inside the pack to match your game version. UI Text upscaling is exclusive to the Spanish version.

DISCLAIMER
This pack is highly resource-intensive. A GPU with at least 8 GB of VRAM is recommended.

NEW VERSION!
Added a config.yml file with settings designed to reduce 1 FPS stutter loops and improve overall performance.

RECOMMENDED SETTING
If you have approximately 10 GB of free system RAM, enable Preload Texture Replacements under Settings → Graphics → Texture Replacement. This can significantly reduce stuttering when entering new areas.

Here’s my feedback:
Everything seems amazing, but sometimes it slows the game down in certain areas. Also, the big issue is that when I headed to Kujara Ranch (it’s the snowy area), the game becomes unplayable at all with 1 fps. Any ideas, please?

That can happen with some PS1 games because they dump a lot of duplicates that are needed. It's the same with the Megaman Legends 2 pack I made.

The emulator has a hard time with so many files, even if you pre-cache them, although that can help.
Which renderer are you using? I've found that the D3D11 one generally offers better performance with texture packs.

I'm just about to tell you that we have the Tomba 2 HD texture pack in the chat in your patron, but I want to give it a test before I share that information. I mainly use Steam Deck with Vulkan (there's no D3D11 only Vulkan and OpenGL). I always select an option called "Preload Texture Replacement" to avoid any stuttering. Unfortunately, when I arrive at Kujara Ranch, the game becomes unplayable.
Any idea?

No idea, sorry. I haven't really played the game much. I just did the first part to test the texture dumping since I was planning on doing a pack.

Seems this is just another PS1 game that dumps too many textures and then loading the high res ones just tanks the emulator.

I'd had an issue like this with one of the packs I made because it was dropping and using 600 particle textures how I fixed it since it was only particles I downscalled it to original texture dump size but then again we're talking about a PS1 game I'm talking about a PS2 game The PS1 game is already dumped in a thousands of textures

I added a config.yml with a few tweaked settings that significantly improve performance. I placed the file within the texture folder, but if you want to avoid downloading the pack again, here are the settings I changed in config.yml:

MaxHashCacheEntries: 9000
MaxHashCacheVRAMUsageMB: 6144
MaxReplacementCacheVRAMUsage: 6144

I tried with your new thing but unfortunately it doesn’t fix that issue. So is there anything special for low-end PCs? I’m mainly using a Steam Deck, which has a maximum of 4GB VRAM. also is there a suitable settings for that?
Moreover if you can remaster two intro videos it would be a truly a remaster edition.

Unfortunately, in that case, the best option is to disable the texture pack in the areas where your system cannot maintain a playable framerate.

As for the intro videos, they are not currently dumpable. Remastering them would also be very resource-intensive and would require a significant amount of storage space, since each frame would need to be replaced individually rather than replacing the video as a whole.

I noticed that vulkan has this issue unlike Directx11 but unfortunately steam deck only have vulkan and don’t know how to use dx11 on it.
