I'm amazed, i expected this to be vaporware... or at the very least to be terrible, turns out, while not the world best deal for a phone... its actually decent.
Im shocked.
Ultra-basic Android with Truth Social preinstalled, basically.
fairly decent SOC, decent screen, large battery, cheap-o plastic casing and a non-functional fingerprint-reader... for a fairly hefty price

yeah, i dont believe a word of it either honestly, but they had to print SOMETHING about it being an "american phone" on the packaging since this was literally their biggest promise to get the pre-orders.

I COULD imagine that it may have been packaged in the US. Phone, manual, cable in box, box closed, done... but ill never believe this was actually assembled by them/american employees.

It would have been big news if that were true. The president would never have shut up about it if it actually were.

they MADE some minor changes, 400mah bigger battery and they moved the flash a little. Minor stuff really.
But since the HTC wasnt a particularly good deal two years ago and still isnt, its not a good deal now either.
... but it has the name Trump on it, so people will buy it for that alone.

In fairness, it is a cult. Can't expect much from people are brainwashed.

Who the hell is even the target audience for this? Why would you even want this unless you're one of the people that supports politicians instead of policies?

Watched this video as it showed up on my YouTube main page, wow, the service he received was so unprofessional and still paid a hefty price for a phone clearly not worth it.

Somehow reminds me of those shitty At Games consoles with the Sega brand.

yeah, i didnt even mention the pre-order phonecall. Spelling out your password over the PHONE to change it?
Jesus, thats the ansolute worst idea ever. I think the reviewer was well aware of that, too. If you look at his facial expression during the call you can tell how shocked he was!
... and then the Sales Directors calls him to remind him of his pre-order, just to find out he already paid...
In germany we would call this an "Armutszeugnis" (Proof of absolute incompetence). 🙄

... but since i was so sure it would never even release: guess i was wrong. Im not too proud to admit that.

To me this isn't the worst Trump thing, him pretending to be Jesus and the Pope are far worse.
