Have you ever got replacement labels for carts where they've been lost or damaged? Or I guess the following question can also apply if you've got custom labels.
Do you like the standard paper labels, or those with the holographic effect? Or printed on vinyl to be more hard wearing?

I've got a cart coming of a favourite game that's lost its label, just curious about opinions before I buy something from Etsy or whatever.

I think the margins are so low, you won’t get labels on aliexpress
But, have you thought about getting bootleg games and swapping the boards around?

Another idea is to print some off yourself, I got some sticky glossy sheets of a4 and a craft knife and you can do a okay job

Also, i got my sheets (and some glittery ones) from AliExpress lol, just need a printer so its not the best plan

I just bought some self adhesive semi-glossy photo paper and printed and cut them out on my own.
'ts probably not perfect, but it just has to look nice, not necessarily 1:1.

for carts that lost heir original labels or are loose, I really like more to think on a custom approach than a reproduction of the original! I've got this idea after seeing a tweet (and I can't find it now..) that someone bought a loose not best condition banjo kazooie cart to gift someone and made a neat fanart label and box for it xD
That said... I have nothing of it, but I've commissioned a friend to make me a Mario kart DS fanart box art for a loose cart I've got, I just have to print it now xD

Nice idea, definitely. I did think about putting something together from some of the game art into a new label, rather than using the original label, but I'm not arty enough to make something completely new. Commissioning art is brilliant but I'm trying to keep the cost of this whole venture down, the only reason I bought the game was that it was a fraction of the cost of a cart-only with original label, and a much tinier fraction of the cost of a complete boxed version!
