For the first time in 13 years, the Call of Duty series will again return to Nintendo's consoles. Set to launch on the 23rd of October, the latest release, Modern Warfare 4, will launch on Nintendo Switch 2 alongside the PC, PS5, and Xbox Series versions. Notably the game will not be launching on either the PS4 or Xbox One.

The game will be a fully-featured release, making use of the system's mouse controls, as well as including cross-play and cross-progression between platforms.

good for the 5 people who haven't played it yet
nobody has played it yet
I know, when I first read the title I read "Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare" (as you probably did) so I got excited until I saw they just moved the 4 to the end

Everyone hymns and haws at this but playing Modern Warfare 3 on Wii was a formative memory for me. Even though I had a Wii I still was able to experience CoD as a kid.
As an adult yeah we probably don't need it and can just play PC but being able to play a game on the system you own as a broke kid is nice as hell, and a welcome change.

The same idiotic thing was said about Witcher 3 and Red Dead Redemption on Switch and Cyberpunk on Switch 2, and those games combined have already sold over 5 million copies. Not every gamer owns a PS5, and XBox Series X, a high-end PC and a Switch 2. 🙄

y'all loving your OLD ports instead of actual new games?
Since when have the COD team delivered an actual "new" game? And yes, gamers love ports to new platforms. See above.
