Hi, thank you for the kind words! And thank you for reporting this.

I have not been able to reproduce this on my Omega Definitive Edition so can I ask you some questions to help narrow down the issue?

Could you please let me know:

1. Are you using the EZ-Flash Omega Definitive Edition, not the older EZ-Flash Omega?
2. Is your Omega DE cartridge a Rev A (says OMEGA DE on the back of the cartridge board) or Rev B cartridge (says EZODE on the back of the cartridge board)
3. Which official firmware/kernel version was installed before DS Style?
4. Can you tell me all of the settings affected by this issue
5. For the view mode setting, if you press Select whilst in the SD Card, does it successfully change the view?
6. If you turn sounds off in DS Style settings, does the freeze still happen?

Thanks in advance.
When I enable the RT, Cheats and Reset features in Addon and launch games with Addon activated, the Addon menu pops up automatically after entering a game. Pressing the B button to close it only results in a brief flash, and the menu reopens right away.

Thank you very much for testing!

I believe I have a fix, just doing some tests and I'll upload it later today.
Looking forward to it greatly! Thanks for your prompt communication and work!

It sounds like the hotkey settings data has become corrupt, which causes the ezflash to think the hotkey is 'no buttons pressed' which would just constantly trigger the menu. What happens if you go to the 'Addon hotkey' setting and change/update the buttons. I'll see what I can do to prevent this in future.

After power on/off the device, I found this issue doesn't happen every time(I can't even reproduce it now, haha). It's probably fine to leave it as is.

That's good! Hopefully just a random glitch

If you'd like to test the latest version to see if it fixes the settings menu with sounds, I have added the ezkernelnew.bin file to this message.

Does anyone face any corrupting issues? I corrupted the flash twice but each time was different, if it gets corrupted again I’ll try to get photos

When you say corrupting the flash do you mean the games flashed to NOR become corrupt, or their save files?

Great, no problem! I'll update the main download soon, but I don't think it will change from the test version I posted just now if anyone wants to update sooner.

I’ve just released DS Style v6.4!

The original EZ-Flash Omega version has now been updated to match the latest release too.

This update adds multiple language options in the settings menu. This one was a fun challenge, as a lot of the wording had to be adjusted creatively to fit within the space available on the settings screen. Some translations may still be a little rough, so feedback is very welcome.

The DS Style Customiser has also been updated, and now lets users edit the text used throughout the kernel for each supported language. It also now supports the original Omega too.

Huh? Where?
Also: In next update, you can add some of this things?:
-Add colour preview in the theme (A preview to see how the UI color change in the theme)
-HTML color support. (Use HTML code and automatly the sets the GBA color palette values)
-Add splash image in dark assets and in custom theme. (Or at last, in custom theme only)

I’ll take a look at updating the colour options screen when I next change the Customiser.

The heart is displayed when viewing a favourited game.

There can only be one splash screen in the kernel, it’s hard coded when you build it. It’s under the light option because I needed somewhere to put it.

Frankie, this project is awesome and I had to create an account to tell you that your efforts are very appreciated. After customizing and perfecting my GBA hardware recently, it's super satisfying to have a premium-feeling "software" experience counterpart to the quality hardware experience I've worked on. You're a champion of the people, a hero!

Thank you so much for such a kind message, it means a lot! I’m really glad you’re enjoying it, and that it adds to your GBA experience. :yaysp:

Have you removed the functionality to Delete Roms? OFW: Press L+START.
Please reimplement it if so.

Please check the Help page under the Settings menu for the common controls, and the usage instructions included in the download for fuller explanations.

No functionality has been removed from the original kernel. Some controls were changed to fit the new menu layout and considerations were made to avoid overlap with the common screen mod OSD controls.

To delete a file, navigate to it and hold Start.

This is great, back when Simple came out I made my theme to be similar to the DS' menu, so the fact this exists AND has a handy customization tool that makes the whole process easier is just so nice.

I'm looking forward to seeing what people can come up with! I'm thinking of doing a Simple homage theme, since they laid the groundwork for custom kernels.

Version 6.5 has been released!

I went through all the menus and eliminated any flickering I could find. I also updated the old menus to look and behave like the newer ones. Everything has been tuned to have a consistent feel between view modes.

Additionally, the customiser has become signficantly more powerful in v1.6. It can now adjust the UI element positioning, and comes with previews of the screens.

I made a theme based on the Analogue Pocket's UI as an example of the capabilities of the new customiser version:

How i can import my proyects from the previous version on the program to upgrade it to the new version of the kernel?
I keep the proyect folder in the same folder and i copied the files of the new version, but when i open it in the new version of the program, open the proyect and build the new kernel, it´s keeps as the previous version. (V6.4)

This is by design, each project creates its own private copy of the source folder, so any edits don’t change the original files, and so any updates don’t mess with your projects. Create a new project, and import the image resources from the old project files. You will need to re-enter the colour values.
