Tried reinstalling the game and update with latest DBI?Ive followed everything properly, for some reason botw isnt working even with syspatch on 22.1.0. getting software encountered an error message. Not even a game cart and official update installed. Is this a seperate issue or did i make a mistake? I grabbed the experimental fork as well.
my botw and totk are doing the same thing.. they both work fine in emulators though.Tried reinstalling the game and update with latest DBI?

Sadly, I'm not really good with troubleshooting this kind of issues but I know for sure that booting into CFW without proper sigpatches sometimes invalidates tickets for certain game installs depending on the way the games were installed on that Switch. That problem can only be fixed by reinstalling the games while making sure that you have latest sigpatches/sys-patch. Which installer you use shouldn't matter much as long as it's up-to-date. Sadly, other than DBI which officially is only available in Russian, I'm not sure if other installers like Tinwoo, Awoo, Goldleaf, Tinfoil, etc. work properly. Goldleaf is still somewhat maintained so it might be your best bet.my botw and totk are doing the same thing.. they both work fine in emulators though.
The title ends up having a weird name and wont launch. sphaira has it listed as E. Ive wiped and reinstalled with Tinwoo, Cyberfoil, goldleaf, DBI, and Sphaira so far. I tried base, with different updates and not thing. Other games work, installing doesnt work and neither does launching with the cart in.Sadly, I'm not really good with troubleshooting this kind of issues but I know for sure that booting into CFW without proper sigpatches sometimes invalidates tickets for certain game installs depending on the way the games were installed on that Switch. Some installers haven't been updated to support the new compressed nacp. Sphaira is likely abandonware at this point seeing how there hasn't been any changes since October. The title ends up having a weird name and wont launch. sphaira has it listed as E. Awoo 1.36 works flawlesslySadly, I'm not really good with troubleshooting this kind of issues but I know for sure that booting into CFW without proper sigpatches sometimes invalidates tickets for certain game installs depending on the way the games were installed on that Switch. If a game has more than 16 languages, one of the files (control.nacp) is compressed so you're seeing the compressed bytes rather than the game name. Some homebrew needs updated I guess. The title ends up having a weird name and wont launch. sphaira has it listed as E. I own the physical cart. its not app related. ive tested on 2 different carts. If a game has more than 16 languages, one of the files (control.nacp) is compressed so you're seeing the compressed bytes rather than the game name. Some homebrew needs updated I guess.
Look I'm not going to argue with you, some new games with (mostly from nintendo) have now got support for up to 32 languages, they only use to have 16. These (some) game updates since 21.x.x have a new control.nacp file that's compressed to allow the space for 32 languages. This file gets unpacked in switch memory and then read. Some tools like saphira don't have the support yet to unpack the file so when it tries to read control.nacp to get the game name it only reads compressed bytes instead because it doesn't know the data is packed. This is all I am going to say, if you don't believe me, well meh!I own the physical cart. its not app related. ive tested on 2 different carts.
Yes I understand. Saphira is just one of the apps ive tried as far as launching as an install. ive tried others as well, I agree that homebrew is going to need time to patch after the update, I was seeing if others had the same issue and if they had gotten it fixed.Look I'm not going to argue with you, some new games with (mostly from nintendo) have now got support for up to 32 languages, they only use to have 16. Thanks for the input, might be something I should look into. Ive never had the issue previously either.Nothing weird going on on my end, using only the latest sys-patch as well as latest firmware, Atmosphere, hekate, etc. Sadly, I've never run into an issue like that. The only similar issue I used to have was due to my failing microSD card some of the games were freezing and crashing here and there, but I can't say for sure if that's the case on your end.
Download your game from roms lab or elsewhere from internet.Yes I understand. I went and checked the log for syspatch, and everything is green expect for "force_gamecard region" which is unpatched and "am_homebrew_fix_22". Ive tried other games and they work so its just a zelda issue currently. "am_homebrew_fix" is inside of atmosphere anyway so that one doesn't matterI went and checked the log for syspatch, and everything is green expect for "force_gamecard region" which is unpatched and "am_homebrew_fix_22". correct. ive seen other users with this issue even in previous patches but its not an issue with sys-patch. I was just making sure I didnt do something wrong on my end."am_homebrew_fix" is inside of atmosphere anyway so that one doesn't matter
force gamecard region only matters for users with chinese region gamecards.
my chinese tester has validated both work, so there's no reason for them to have altered behaviour on your end
