Twilight Princess PC port "Courage Reborn" gets new trailer, mods and texture packs supported, Switch and mobile ports also in the works

After the Twilight Princess decompilation efforts concluded last year, many have been waiting patiently (or not so patiently) for news of an inevitable PC port. For those who haven't been keeping up, there are actually two in the works: Dusk and Courage Reborn. A few hours ago a trailer was released for the latter, showing off the features you can expect to see when it does eventually release.

For those not interested in a trailer, the following were shown:
  • Wide-Screen support
  • Unlocked resolution
  • Unlocked framerate
  • Mobile and Switch ports
  • Mod support
  • Texture packs
  • Quality of life changes
  • Mouse and gyro aim
  • In-game menus
At the end of the trailer, we also get to see that the project will run on Linux, with the Steam Deck getting a specific mention. Though no release date was announced, the game does appear to be running well, giving us some hope that the "soon" in "coming soon" may not be too distant after all.

We'll cover any major news on the project as it crops up, but those interested in more can join the project's Discord server for the latest developments and the opportunity to test the port ahead of its full release.

Hopefully you have an option to significantly increase the difficulty because the original was ridiculously easy.
I guess hard mode would be just playing with three hearts and always wearing the Zora Tunic for double fire and ice damage. On the Wii U version you could then play Hero Mode for double damage, and then scan the Ganondorf Amiibo for a further double damage multiplier. Fire and ice doing eight times the damage is hilariously brutal lol

Can't wait to play my quarter heart rando with every useless check converted to an ice trap. I love suffering

I just simply cannot understand or wrap my mind around how FANS in their SPARE TIME with just some love and passion are able to make these amazing ports with the source code when official commercial ports and remasters by actual game companies turn out to be complete ass or completely butchered. It just doesn't make sense to me.

There never seems like a "balance" it's always either too easy or too hard. My biggest gripe of TP was that the bosses were so damn easy. I know Zelda bosses weren't always known for being difficult, but TP bosses were stupidly easy.

I recently read the TP manga and it made me want to play the game again.
I was expecting to wait years for a PC port to come out but it seems like it may be released way earlier than that.

wiiu port when

To those familiar with the game and all its versions (GC/Wii vs Wii U), after watching the trailer, is there anything the Wii U HD version does that this one doesn't? Apart from Gamepad use of course.

I was gonna say if they had a wii u gamepad support that would be unbelieveable to have the gamepad experience.

Easy, but dang do they make you feel heroic when you're about to smash their weak points
