Getting stuck in with 3v3 Singles after so long has been fun. I remember having fun with a sand team way back in Sword and Shield, so remade it as best I could from memory. Absolutely popped off when I saw Sandaconda was in the game.

I don't really have anything sorted for Doubles yet, so I'll probably just join and play my mandated games to get the free Pokemon lol. Are there any actual prizes for doing well in these competitions? I didn't spot anything at a glance.

Good enough for now I guess. I only wanted the participation rewards for this first one anyway, though I did manage to go three for three in those battles using a Singles team I had to hand. I keep almost throwing by expecting rational teams though. Like who runs Umbreon with Wish, Foul Play, Toxic...... and Moonlight???

did you run into me in ranked? i use the same setup. also i won a couple of matches with that umbreon only using the toxic stall i might have protect instead of moonlight. also it's my doubles team. i might of try single's for a couple of matches but that was it.

been only playing a few matches a day, but i'm up to double ultra ball
i've been a singles guy for years, but this doubles format is way better than the current singles meta

Yeah 3v3 Singles is a fairly restrictive meta. I think it can be fun for that and I think I’m still planning to run with it for the first tournament, but after that it’ll probably be doubles. I’m lurking around Ultra 2 for Singles. Hoping to at least hit Master next week, not been able to play much with preparing to move house (which is happening today lol).

I'm stuck rank 1 pokeball the last few points i keep losing/regaining even after training my team
What team are you using and what format? If you want an easy starting point that'll generally get you through Poke Ball and Great Ball, you can just take a look at the usage numbers and either take what works, or try to build a team around countering the key threats.

Beyond that though, just playing more and understanding what each thing does will generally help you progress. You get swept by one thing, you then go back and figure out a way for it to not happen the next time. It's a fun loop once you've got going.

yeah I've been testing the waters with complimentry natures to the moveset of my mon as well as factoring in Mega evo's type/ability changes one thing i found out that i thought was oposite was when explosion or recoil faints both last pokemon the user of the move still wins I swear that for the longest time it made the user lose

As far as I know recoil = user wins, explosion/self-destruct = user loses. I seem to remember the winner in matches being decided by who faints first, with explosion setting the user's HP to 0 before doing damage. I haven't used it in Champions though so things may have changed.
