Hey all,

Been working on a fork of PowerUp by Christopher Shorter and it's at a point where it's worth sharing.

If you've tried building a proper roster in Power Pros manually you'll know it's a nightmare — batting stances, hot zones, pitch arsenals, appearance, special abilities, hundreds of attributes per player. PowerUp+ pulls real data from the MLB Stats API and writes it into your save file. Any season in history, or 2026.

Two pre-generated rosters included if you just want to play:

  • 2026 MLB Season — all 30 teams + AL/NL All-Stars, 1,691 players
  • All-Time Franchise — 710 players across 32 teams (30 franchises + Japan + World)
Drop the .dat into your save directory and launch the game, that's it.

If you want to generate your own you'll need .NET 8 and the original game — instructions in the repo. Still pretty early, but works on my end.

Credit to Christopher Shorter for the original and the save format reverse engineering, none of this exists without that.

Repo: https://github.com/ogura-connection/PowerUpPlus

Happy to answer questions — mainly curious whether the pre-generated rosters work across different regions/save states since I've only tested on a couple setups.

YEAH MATE!

Hey man,

This is seriously impressive work. Just wanted to give you the heads up that I think you forgot to add the 2026 MLB rosters. The repo still has the 2025 rosters.
