Hello everyone,

After plenty of messing around, I've made a guide on how to get ACCF Deluxe onto the Wiiu with these benefits:

  • Gamepad support
  • Classic Controller support
  • Does not require your disc running in the machine

This guide must assume you already have a WiiU and that it has Aroma. In my case I have a copy that I dumped. Mine is called:

Animal Crossing - City Folk (USA).iso

Mine happens to be USA, English, and Rev0. It will matter later, but it'll be easy enough to figure out the minor changes needed. wbfs files work and can be converted mid process, don't worry. I'll also take this guide nice and slow. More people that can figure this out, the more towns we can all visit! By the way, this is my first time trying to format, so this post will likely get cleaned up.

Required Software + Downloads

Part 1:
  1. Download all files (minus the Gecko Controller File) linked above, then extract each into their respective folder. You can delete the zip files for the wit, dolphin, accfd, and isobuilder
  2. Open the "wit-v3.05a-r8638-cygwin64" folder, and run "windows-install.exe" to install.
  3. Run UWUVCI_INSTALLER to install it. You won't need uwuvci until the end.
  4. Open RiivolutionISOBuilder.
    1. Following the program, select your game. then select your riivolution XLM file located in ..\accf_deluxe_v1.1.2\riivolution the file required should match your version of the game. Mine is Rev0 and USA, so I click that.
    2. Thirdly, save the file into the "Dolphin-x64" folder as "accfd_patched".
    3. Say "Yes" for Core, and "No" for Classic Controller
  5. Open Dolphin. Set the game's directory as "Dolphin-x64". The game should pop up. Right-click -> properties -> filesystem
    1. Notice the data partition name. Mine, for example is "RUUE01". WIll be handy later.
    2. Right click Disc - > Extract Entire Disk. Instead of extracting into dolphin, extract into the main folder containing everything. In my case, the "tutorial" folder. It will be called "DATA"

Part 2:

  1. Open the "accf_deluxe_vX.X.X" folder -> "accf_deluxe" -> "game" -> "Brewster"
    1. There is a long list of module files ending in ".kmdl" Find the version that matches your game. in my case, mine is: "module.USA_REV_0.RELEASE.kmdl"
    2. Copy that file, and paste it into ../DATA/files which is the extracted game
    3. rename this file module file to "module.kmdl"
  2. Go back to the top folder (in my case "tutorial") and in the address bar, type "wit copy DATA accfd_final.iso"
    1. This iso file can be called whatever you'd like. It is an iso that technically works, but without the gamepad support.

Part 3:

The next steps includes gamepad support like you deserve.

  1. Remember that Gecko Controller file, and that disc partition name (RUUE01)? You need that Gecko website (here). Secondly, you need to go to Vague Rant's post on the Gecko Controller Code
    1. On the GCT (Gecko) website, name the "Game ID" your disc partition name/your game title name (RUUE01). Name the code title something like "Classic Controller"
    2. On Vague Rant's post, choose your version & region of your game and copy the code for the left stick control (it's the one that'll actually be useful compared to the right stick code) and paste it in the code box on the GCT website
    3. Click "Add Code", then click "Download GCT", then save it to the same folder containing your final iso.
  2. Finally, boot into uwuvci.
    1. Select "Get GCT File" to retrieve your gecko file. Next to it, select the "Classic Controller" option.
    2. I also check "remove VFilter" (personal preference). For the path, select your new, fully made and working iso file.
    3. Get your SD card ready for injection because that's basically it!
You'll have to figure out how to get online to work, but I say look towards WiiLink.

Lemme know what your friend code is, once you get it all figured out!

Thank you for everyone involved with the software and instruction on how to do it. I figured just a very simple step-by-step guide will help everyone that's newer.

What exactly is the point of the gecko code? Saying "Yes" to the initial Classic Controller prompt in Riivolution builder and doing the rest exactly the same seems to work for the gamepad? Just curious if there's something I'm missing because I did that before stumbling across this post.

Thanks piercemdr! The guide works, but the left analog stick seems to be wonky for me. When I push the left analog stick up, sometimes it goes in the opposite direction. Not sure if the .gct file by Vague Rant is the problem or if it is my analog stick. In other games, my analog stick appears to be working correctly.

Anyway here's my small contribution to this thread. I've attached the boot logo and icon that I'm using for the ACCFD UVUCI inject.

For some reason, I was getting an issue getting it working when I said Yes at the Riivolution builder.

I can confirm that omitting the .gct file step and setting the Classic Controller setting to Yes in RiivolutionISOBuilder also works.

I'm still running into the wonky analog stick problem when pushing up though.

so far, is it just a fact that no one has an effective way for this hack to work disk-less on a regular modded wii? Riivolution iso builder seems to work every other way but that...I can just get this on my wiiu I'm about to get, I just really wanted this to work on the console it was made for without a physical copy since my wii is mainly just digital games:sad:

I would assume following most of the steps listed EXCEPT the Wii U specific ones (uwuvci won't be needed, if you need classic controller support saying "Yes" in Riivolution ISO builder should work) and once you have your ISO/WBFS just load it onto USBLoaderGX (which you can look up how to do if you don't already know how) would work.

For the life of me I just cannot get the Deluxe patch baked into my ACCF ISO (Owned the game for years, recently got an ISO dump for my homebrewed Wii). Does anyone know if there's a working patched ISO to download? I know that's kind of cheating, but I'm at a loss here

Hi! Made an account to confirm to others that this does work on the normal wii, ofcourse without the wii u specific steps like you said! Im fairly new to this stuff, but your tutorial helped alot. Thank you for the help!

Would you mind explaining how you set it up on your wii and if you did anything different? Like did you say yes to classic controller and skip part 2 and 3?

I will try this when I have energy for that. I have some problems with my brain so I be very tired and confused when I read a lot.
It would be nice if someone also could make a YouTube video and explain how to make it work on Wii and Wii U without disc.
My disc driver doesn’t work on my Wii so I have to found a way to play it without disc.

It always be black screen when I test it on Dolphin. I shall test to download a rev 1 version of the game and see if it will be better.

I give up 🙁

I still agree. I have problems to get it working, I will test it on Dolphin first and it is always a black screen.
On the other hand I always get a warning message in iso builder that it should probably work with dolphin but not with USB Loader GX.

I don’t know what I do wrong

I second this, every time I follow the steps here, I just boot with a black screen. My disc doesn't work anymore either, so I can only use the extracted iso/wbfs files.

huge apologies for the late reply!!

I said no to classic controller, did part 1 and 2. I then used wii backup manager to convert the iso into a wbfs file, placing it in the game folder (which will be named "Animal Crossing- City Folk [RUUE01]"). You also have to change the wbfs file to be named "RUUE01" to work.

The only part skipped was part 3 due to not having a classic controller. but hopefully when i get one i can see if its functional.

If anyone has questions, i promise not to take too long to reply this time

I made a YouTube video with a premade file, specifically for people who are using a USA region Wii U.

(I'm not allowed to post the link here apparently, so my YouTube channel is @SubSeagu11)

Interesting, so there is gamepad support, could one swap that out for a .dol or .elf to make USBLoaderGX work with the gamepad? How did you do it?
Well, I'll have to find out.

In order to use the gamepad as a controller you have to inject the game via uwuvci or teconmoon right to the wii u menu.
