New Ocarina of Time ROM hack brings Majora's Mask transformations back to Hyrule

The new year is upon us, and with it comes new ways to play an almost 30 year old game! Released just a few hours ago, Ocarina of Time has yet again been revamped, this time featuring the mask transformations from sequel Majora's Mask. Created by ROM hacker Aegiker, you can now reexperience one of Link's most iconic journies as a Deku Scrub, Goron, or Zora, with the powerful Fierce Deity transformation also included for good measure. All abilities and interactions are preserved from the original Majora's Mask implementation, with a few niceties thrown in there for good measure, like the Goron transformation's punches acting as the Megaton Hammer.

I am glad I finished this game a long time ago. Hate this game. I am a huge fan of Zelda, thought.

Why are you surprised? If this hack was done with the decompiled source, they can still share a patch...
Nice if they share the code / workings, but that doesn't usually happen for hacks, right?

It would be very cool to see dungeons tweaked a little to require aspects of the masks? Like fire temple making use of goron link etc. But would probably need lots of thought to be done well.

My current thoughts are just wanting to roll around hyrule as goron link, roll up and down the slopes in goron city :D

i agree! even if that doesn't happen at least the goron mask makes hyrule faster to travel around!

If Nintendo was "cool" they them self would add something like this to OOT on the Online service. A lot of players would love something like this, and it'd make a lot of players go back to OOT for something "different".

Nintendo should also be the ones adding randomizers to OOT/MM. Resident Evil did it decades ago.
