My friend Mori and I have been open sourcing the ChisFlash series of GBA/GBC flashcart for the past year.

[ChisFlash 0.1(SRAM1M), 1.0(FRAM1M), 1.1(Flash1M)](https://github.com/ChisBread/ChisFlash)
[ChisFlash MBC5 Max (16in1)](https://oshwhub.com/morinaka/chisflash-mbc5-max-32m-gbc-shao-lu-ka)
[ChisFlash MBC5 Plus (4in1)](https://oshwhub.com/morinaka/chisflash-mbc5-gbc-shao-lu-ka)

Now, we are designing a fully open source TF flashcart. Since the project started with SuperCard, we decided to name it SuperChis.

Thanks to [gba-supercard-cpld](https://github.com/davidgfnet/gba-supercard-cpld), we have successfully reproduced SuperCard from scratch(better layout)!

This is our Roadmap:
1. Clone SuperCard, Refactoring CPLD code
2. Redesigned SuperCard, ported to in-production (cheaper) ICs
3. Uses a larger NOR Flash to run the game in the NOR when there are problems with the waitstate patch, ensuring compatibility ⬅️ We're here
4. Optimized SDRAM controller/Use better SDRAM to minimize latency
5. GPIO (RTC, Rumble...)

In short, our goal is to be cheaper than SuperCard and have better compatibility than SuperCard!

If there is any progress, we will update here.

Update:
2025/10/24 Shells will start production soon and SuperFW(@davidgfnet) will be ready soon!
2025/09/15 Firmware redevelopment is complete.SD card read speed is twice as fast as SCSD.
2025/08/13 Redesigned PCBs are already in production. Thanks to Mori.

I hate to be that guy, but I'd consider changing the name of this product, given "Chis" can be translated to "Pee/Piss" in Spanish and other languages.
So... yeah... "SuperChis"... 🤔

If this is the same guy on AliExpress who makes the ChisFlash carts, we have nothing to worry about. His carts are solid, and prices are fair. The name is the least of my worries, as long as it's searchable and easy to find to purchase.

Thank you for your trust. ChisFlash is an open-source project, and I am not selling it. The project itself has been verified, and I am confident that the ChisFlash series is reliable.

But there are good and bad sellers, for example, some sellers will not comply with the production manual I provide, and will be lazy in selecting materials and quality inspection. So I suggest choosing stores with good reviews.

SuperChis will also be an open-source project.

You are talking about Spanish in South America, right? I don't think that term is used in Spain, first time I hear it.

I stand corrected, this thing is almost $90 USD on AliExpress.
