SMT 5 Vengeance is out, and I had to resort to sources outside the shop to install it. Is there any point checking Tinfoil for possible updates and DLC for this game and any other new titles that will come out on the Switch in the future?

You mean the shops we had to pay/donate via discord to gain access to downloads? I hate to say this, but those tinfoil shops were scummy. Thats why they never last long, its usually somebody having a falling out with their little team or that 1 guy taking the money and run with it. We are better off grabbing those updates/dlc ourselves for free. Finding them on the net isn't hard.

Well what you paid is what you get. Every tinfoil shop that existed all ended the same way. Convenient to the user, but a money scheme to the hoster down the road. HBG/TITZ Pro/Liberah all of them just up an vanish from discord and yet the hoster brags about keeping those installations to himself. I wonder why?

There used to be a "pro" shop but then it got locked out, and later on most of the content removed, I think it's not working anymore.
Then a new public shop appeared, and it's still up, but it stopped updating like 3 months ago, the admins went silent and nothing is known about it.

From what it seems, it is no longer possible to conveniently get anything from a Tinfoil shop. Even is you are willing to pay (which you shouldn't, that's piracy).

The closest you can get to know if updates are needed is to go to tools and check for updates in "DBI. There's another hombrew called "NX-Update-Checker", which is old but it still works just fine. And then manually getting them yourself.

"Convenience" is a double-edged sword. The same convenience that benefits the user also makes the service provider a major target.

I'm surprised a moderator hasn't deleted this thread yet. Doesn't belong here. All of your questions are answered on reddit.
