Overview and Background
I have been working on this for the past 4 days with no success. I recently began to homebrew my wiiU (currently on 5.5.6), it seems like everything on the wiiU front went perfectly fine, however when it comes to the vWii I am having nothing but problems.
I followed the guides from wiiu.hacks and wii.hacks for the basic setup and configuration on both parts.
Ive double checked all my configurations, folder structures, sd card format, and everything else I can think of, however i keep running into the same problems.
The main thing i want to do is be able to load my games from an sd card. I am using a Sandisc Micro SD card with an SD card adapter in the front slot of the Wii U.
USB Loader GX
While i have gotten USB Loader to launch, I have not been able to get it to recognize and read form my sd card. When i go into settings to turn on the sd card compatibility, the option simply isn't there. I have gone as far as attempting to read through the source code and understand why this setting is missing for me. but nothing seems to come to mind.
I have reinstalled the app a few times, validated i am on the 2023 release (v3.0-r1281) which should contain the setting. being stuck on the same problem for multiple days i decided i should try to switch gears and approach a different loader.
WiiFlow Lite
When it comes to WFL I am in a similar boat as far as having almost no progress. when i first started trying to use it I would launch the app from homebrew and get a black screen that would never load (no splash screen or anything) I have on a few occasions with various tinkerings managed to get the black screen to crash back into homebrew... however I have yet to even see the splash screen for WFL.
Any help getting either of these to run is greatly appreciated. I really want to get to the point where i can play off of my sd card, but I feel like i can only bang my head against a brick wall so much.
posting a syscheck because I feel like ive seen them asked for way to often. want to make sure people have what they need to help here.
SOLUTION
turns out somehow my sd card got corrupted or the mbr broke or something else. after reformatting the drive and moving all the files back over the issues with both UsbLoaderGX and WiiFlow Lite seem to be fixed.
