Overview and Background
I have been working on this for the past 4 days with no success. I recently began to homebrew my wiiU (currently on 5.5.6), it seems like everything on the wiiU front went perfectly fine, however when it comes to the vWii I am having nothing but problems.

I followed the guides from wiiu.hacks and wii.hacks for the basic setup and configuration on both parts.

Ive double checked all my configurations, folder structures, sd card format, and everything else I can think of, however i keep running into the same problems.

The main thing i want to do is be able to load my games from an sd card. I am using a Sandisc Micro SD card with an SD card adapter in the front slot of the Wii U.

USB Loader GX
While i have gotten USB Loader to launch, I have not been able to get it to recognize and read form my sd card. When i go into settings to turn on the sd card compatibility, the option simply isn't there. I have gone as far as attempting to read through the source code and understand why this setting is missing for me. but nothing seems to come to mind.
I have reinstalled the app a few times, validated i am on the 2023 release (v3.0-r1281) which should contain the setting. being stuck on the same problem for multiple days i decided i should try to switch gears and approach a different loader.

WiiFlow Lite
When it comes to WFL I am in a similar boat as far as having almost no progress. when i first started trying to use it I would launch the app from homebrew and get a black screen that would never load (no splash screen or anything) I have on a few occasions with various tinkerings managed to get the black screen to crash back into homebrew... however I have yet to even see the splash screen for WFL.

Any help getting either of these to run is greatly appreciated. I really want to get to the point where i can play off of my sd card, but I feel like i can only bang my head against a brick wall so much.

posting a syscheck because I feel like ive seen them asked for way to often. want to make sure people have what they need to help here.

SOLUTION
turns out somehow my sd card got corrupted or the mbr broke or something else. after reformatting the drive and moving all the files back over the issues with both UsbLoaderGX and WiiFlow Lite seem to be fixed.

I am on 5.5.6, I have not heard of the "wii mod brasil aba mod version of usb loader gx". I tried to look into it, but not finding anything that looks safe. Looks like it is also a cosmetic mod, so not sure how it would help in this scenerio. If you could explain the thought process + provide a suitable place to obtain it, I would be happy to try it out

Which SD card r u referring to, the front slot or you inserted the SD card to a reader and plug into the rear USB of Wii U? If the front SD slot, try a different SD, without the adapter for micro SD. If the rear USB, I am able to use U-flash drive and SD card readers on Wii U rear USB fine for vWii games, but it is said u should only use USB HDD for games.

always had problems with regular usb loader gx but this version i never had problems. to obtain it from the official source get it here: "https://wiimodbrasil.blogspot.com/2019/08/nintendont-usb-loader-gx-configurado-e.html" also click on the marked download button it will ask you to subscribe to the wii mod brasil youtube channel then subscribe to download otherwise it will be full of ads and you probally wont even be able to download also the zip password is wiimodbrasil. after that on usb loader gx you probally wont be able to read anything since will be everything in portuguese or im misremembering and you need to configure that if it's in portuguese change in the gui settings and the reason for use it: it is in fact a cosmetic mod but also has slightly more compatibility

I am using a Sandisc Micro SD card with an SD card adapter in the front slot of the Wii U, It will take me some time to get an non micro SD card to use, but will attempt and update with the results.

I have downloaded and installed the wiimodbrasil version and am in the same spot where it doesnt appear to be reading the SD card and does not appear to have a configurable way of me changing to an SD card mode.

I try not to pry into his intension but, DO NOT download any USB loader from non-official websites. r1281 from https://github.com/wiidev/usbloadergx is your best choice. Try the official loader GX after you obtained another SD card or adapter.

Right, I was weary about it, but did look at and attempt to verify the files in a secure environment before moving them to the sd card.
I have switched back to the official release now. I am also in the process of reformatting my microsd to get a clean start and see if I can get it working, i've seen some posts saying things about broken mbrs and such, hoping that is the problem....

I have ordered a standard SD card to use but it will take a few days to get here, Hopefully i can get stuff working before hand and save myself a few bucks with a return XD

OK, so as painful as it was to completely reset the sd card (cant wait to spend another 4 hours loading all my data back on it.) This appears to have been the solution to my issue.

I am not sure how the MBR got corrupted (assuming that was the cause) but after reformatting the card and moving over a few test games, everything now seems to be reading appropriately. both usbloaderGX and WiiFlowLite are working as expected and launching the games.

only issue now is the ui bug in usbloader but based on what ive read that wont be fixed for a minute XD, so ill probably use WiiFlowLite for the time being. Going to update the OP with the solution for anyone who has these issues in the future. thank you @neverends4 and @Shgofc for the assistance! <3
