Homebrew Question Help with Lockpick_RCM/4XNCI Error?

Yes, it created that file. But then 4NXCI didn't work using that file (renamed to keys.dat). I assumed that this was because it was missing keys, as there seem to be errors (keyblobs corrupted, sept missing). Are you saying that the error messages are irrelevant and that my problem is probably...

Homebrew Question Help with Lockpick_RCM/4XNCI Error?

So I just updated to Firmware 8.1 wanted to dump my keys so I could convert an xci to nsp to install over usb. I downloaded the most recent version of Lockpick_RCM.bin, which says it works with 8.1, and booted it up using the SX loader. Based on the output (see attached image) it looks like...

    Hacking Wii64

The version i posted runs quite a bit better than the old official release. An example: Mario 64 on the official has enormous graphical problems and a ridiculously low fps. In the newer version the graphical problems appear to all be fixed and the fps is playable, although not to the point...

    Hacking Wii64

Just to let you know, i did some reading and learned this: HDSD support is not explicitly added in the code. It is automatically added if the program is compiled with the latest (beta, as far as i know unofficial) version of libOGC, it calls on a newer version of libFAT.

    Hacking Wii64

There have been newer releases, just unofficial and kind of hard to find. I dont know if HDSC is supported yet though. That will probably be something they implement when it further along (runs games smoothly with few bugs) and are ready to make another public release. Newer, unofficial...

    Hacking cIOS and future updates

Ok, but in theory its not necessary for ALL backup playing. So its only neccessary for: 1) Creating backups using the wii (its currently possible to use certain commercial dvd drives to do this too) 2) Running backups FROM A DVD (as usb speeds increase it should still be possible to read the...

    Hacking cIOS and future updates

So it looks like this new update deletes patchmii_core Future updates will almost definitely delete any cIOS, and also probably block their installation My question: is the cIOS necessary for running backups off a dvd, or just running the actual ISO. If its just needed for reading wouldn't this...

Hacking how about a usb looader

Its been discussed. My understanding is that wii currently limits usb speed to 1.0. Once 2.0 is unlocked i hope someone does this!

    Hacking cIOS and more

boot loader as in homebrew loader? than yes, your best example would be the homebrew channel. if you mean backup launcher than no, i'm reasonably sure that they all require a cIOS.
