    Think there are fuses in line with the HDD adapter port on the ps2 motherboard, possible one went out I would check them next or try another HDD adapter if you have one handy.

    Placement is important, top side might not work out so well from what I have seen some people have boot issues or other sorts of problems. close on the bottom is best with short as possible wires, this is how I positioned mine on pu-18.

    I honestly haven't a clue, did you check to make sure DI and DO are not flipped on each other seen a few chinese boards labled weird or funny. Try swapping them and a see if that works, would be my only guess.

    I don't regret taking the plunge, installed in my pu-8 with a wire diagram a month ago. Haven't really run into to many games not working having issue's with RC2 on megavolts github fork.
