    Well after trying another card, I finally got a nand dump also. Thanks for the suggestion. One thing, during the backup it said it wrote keys, but I don't have a keys.bin file on my card. Did it mess up?

    The safe updater tries to install shop channel v17 so it fails because it is up to v18 on nintendo's servers. I just used xzxero's guide and files for my wii and it worked perfectly. I'm on 4.2U now with HBC and everything else. http://gbatemp.net/index.php?showtopic=171901

    Shouldn't the author be able to update this program to fetch the v18? *edit* see the line in the source for the shop. It's in installer.c printf("\nAttempting to install Wii Shop v17\n"); ret = patchmii_install(0x10002, 0x48414241, 0, 0x10002, 0x48414241, 0, 0); don't know how to alter it...

    What is the conflicting information? Did the safe 4.2 updater not work or did you not try it yet? *edit* I see in the other thread that the safe 4.2 updater needs to be updated to fetch the new v18 of the shop channel

    Heh, I just made this topic yesterday in the emulation forum. http://gbatemp.net/index.php?showtopic=158154 Seems if you remove dvdx it will work again. I hope the emulator authors put in usb2 support in the next release.

    Wow, so you end up with no dvdx? That's a tough choice to make. Are you using HBC 1.03 and dvdx from hackmii installer 0.2 and then uninstalling dvdx?
