Hardware Wii or Gamecube on Full HD TV

When is the last time you looked at the price of the GC component cables? I loaned mine out, and was looking for a second, and they are not only hard to find, but extremely expensive since Nintendo stopped making them. I finally got mine back, so I stopped worrying about it. You are correct...

    Hacking HDD docking station

I use a hard drive dock and it works just fine, all the way up to 2 TB. However, it's just a HD dock (Xion), doesn't have those flash card ports or additional USB's in the front. I get the feeling that those might be messing up how the Wii is able to work with it. So, yes, I can verify HD...

Hacking WBFS to Fat32/NTSC and Huge Difference in Copy Speeds

I am backing up from WBFS to Fat32 right now. Aside from having to juggle between the 3.3 and 3.5b versions of Wii Backup Manager due to compatibility issues, my WBFS to Fat32 transfer speed averaged 40 MB/s. Both drives were directly connected to the MoBo via SATA.

Gaming Wii "New Super Mario Bros 2: The Next Levels"???

Isn't there a main thread for this game somewhere? I thought it was a community project. It's pretty good, it actually uses the save from the official NSMB, so if you have already completed that one, you can try out any stage. I was a little disappointed when I started a new save and got to...

Hacking Nintendo Wii Backup Loading + Surround Sound Pro Logic II 5.1

I have had this happen a few times while playing Melee. Also turning off then on the receiver to get the sound back. I didn't think it was the system, I thought maybe something clipped in my receiver or source selector.

Hacking Wii backup Manager for Windows

Same here. Not sure where the other guy's problems are coming from. Though I haven't actually tried transfering anything with it, I can run it and enter the options and exit just fine.

Hacking Wii backup Manager for Windows

Hello Mr. Fig, I appreciate all you've done so far. I'm at the end of my limit with my first WBFS hard drive, and my plan is to dump everything onto a fresh larger FAT32 HD so I can have them all on one partition. However, file management with the WBFS drive is continually crashing. I'm...

    Hacking Configurable USB Loader

I loaned all my original Wii disks to my brother, backups failed. However GameCube disk load did work. 4.2 US, skim(non-fat), v52b2. Worked with original GameCube and DVD-R backup, I do have cMIOS installed and GC Backup Loader. Edit: I forgot I still have my WiiSports (NTSC). Also Error...

    Hardware A/V Cables

Wait, is there a yellow composite cable on these Gamestop cables? I just checked, and the packs I'm seeing don't have a Yellow Composite cable with either the Component or S-video packages. Which means, it's of course not compatible. You can't use any of the component cables in a standard...

Hardware Multiple HD External Enclosure USB

    Bump For example!

    Hardware A/V Cables

Maybe you've already tested this, but does the Wii still assume 420p and/or Widescrean mode when you're using the composite cables? You might want to make sure the Wii reverts back to 480i and Standard 4:3 size before switching to the composite output. Do NOT use the Component cables in the...

Hardware Multiple HD External Enclosure USB

I have several hard drives that I've been swapping for the Wii using an external HD dock. One FAT(or NTFS, can't remember right now don't have it with me, I use it for retro emulation .WAD loading) and a few WBFS. The main thing is that one of my WBFS drives is nearly full, and I'm going to...

    Hardware Band Hero Drums

To change the sensitivity on the drums you use the MIDI In port on the brain of the drums. There's probably some software out there that will read the information from the MIDI Out, but I haven't tried it.

    Hardware Band Hero Drums

Well, they will send you the MIDI/USB cable for free. You might as well take them, in case you decide you want to use them. Getting the Drum Tunner software to detect the drums on XP was a bit tricky, but they showed right up in Windows 7. At least if you're having a real problem with the...

    Hardware Band Hero Drums

Had a similar issue, contact Activision support. They're going to tell you to make sure you have fresh batteries, do a Wiimote resync, and then they'll ask if you think it's sensitivity. They may send you a MIDI/USB connector to change your drum sensitivities. When you get to that point, and...
