    Hmm just realised I have one other issue. Turns out I must have borrowed the SD card for my Wii softmod and used it for something else at some point. How would I rebuild the folder structure, without knowing what softmod I had been using originally?

    Tried that a little, after reading your post, but don't wanna do it too much in case I snap them altogether. Then I'm stuck with a completely dead port, instead of very very flakey port, until I can get a dock. And this'll make me sound like a right n00b, but... Is there any danger of bricking...
