Hacking Trouble with USB Loader GX loading games from FAT32, if split over 4GB

yeah, I knew it got changed to gametdb, but USBLGX still calls it wiitdb and still downloads wiitdb.zip when you update it. and the file that it is referencing is still wiitdb.xml and if you don't have that it will give an error when you look at game details, and it of course won't display any...

Hacking Microphone not detected in games

true that. i got a logitech with my guitar hero setup, works nicely. only reason I'm chiming in is I haven't seen d2x base 56 mentioned. I used to have to use hermes 224 base 37 for all my mic games... i was surprised to realize recently that d2x has the mic working just fine now, as i had all...

Hacking Trouble with USB Loader GX loading games from FAT32, if split over 4GB

Ok so the bug is indeed in Wii Backup Fusion 1.1 for mac. I'm gonna have to let the developers know. The old unsupported Wiijmananger works, albeit a very convoluted way. First, no batch processing... one at a time. Luckily I don't have many 4GB+ files to fix. And the extract to WBFS option...

Hacking Trouble with USB Loader GX loading games from FAT32, if split over 4GB

ok... that makes sense... because none of the games had any titles on them and I had to use witdb.xml to get them to show up. I'm using Wii Backup Fusion 1.1 for mac. The only other manager that works with wbfs files and has a gui for mac is the old java Wiijmanager... which I'll try if I can't...

Hacking Trouble with USB Loader GX loading games from FAT32, if split over 4GB

Yes... I searched... for 2 days already. I've been trying to do research on this, and there doesn't seem to be any mention of the problems I'm having. I got tired of having to resize to increase my WBFS partition so I figured it was time to switch over to FAT32. It seemed to work flawlessly...

    Hacking USB Loader GX

I recently updated to the new version, as well as cIOS r21dx2 base 56 in slot 249. Things seemed to be working fine, then as I was setting up some alt dol games, suddenly all games stopped loading. This is the black screen on load that sounds exactly like this thread...

Hacking dol extraction tools for mac?

it might work with a burned disc... so just burn the iso and see if FTPii can read the Wii file structure.

Hacking dol extraction tools for mac?

I use cyberduck (FTP client), and FTPii. If you browse to one of the directories in the top level you can find it. It's something like NTF and the folder 01_data, not the metadata one. You have to have the disc in though. It reads the dol off the disc and sends it to your computer via FTP.

Hacking Anyone figure out a way to childproof updates?

Already on 4.0... and I know there's nothing dangerous about it. Point is eventually we're gonna be getting a 4.1 and onward. We don't know what updating to these will do (if 4.1U is like J then nothing), but eventually something might be effected. For a general user, the rule is to not update...

Hacking Anyone figure out a way to childproof updates?

I mean... lets say you have a pretty childproof system that you're setting up for someone who isn't of the most technical mind. You're not putting in ATD, or even WAD manager... you already did the dangerous stuff.... the only real danger is a nintendo update. And while it doesn't happen often...

    Hacking USB Hard Drive help!

I don't know if we had the same problem, because I couldn't get any homebrew to see the drive except geexbox and mplayer. I then installed the latest cIOS 202 from mplayer (not hermes, even though they are similar), and it fixed it. They have a specific note that says they fixed something with...

Hacking ipod as a USB drive...

I've mentioned it in the right places. It's been said that it is certainly doable. It would basically be like an Ipod manager merged with GeeXbox. The code is written, it's just waiting to be pasted together. Unfortunately nobody with the skills has the time or has stepped up with any interest...

Hacking Guitar Hero World Tour DLC Finally hacked!?

I still had the problem with Hot Blooded showing up, even when using the DLC installer, and not WAD manager. As mentioned in a previous post, this is worked around by first starting GHWT, going to the archive, seeing the song listed in archive (as Hot Blooded), then exiting the game and...

Hacking ipod as a USB drive...

Never got it to work with Mplayer, emulators or any other Homebrew really, but it has always worked with GeeXboX. I just wish GeeXboX would implement a driver to read the itunes library. You either have to store your media as regular files (which means the ipod and itunes can't see them) or you...

Hacking Guitar Hero World Tour DLC Finally hacked!?

Hmm... I thought I tried it and got a message that said something like the song was out-of-date and had to be re-downloaded. This happened with the GX loader way before this hack with my store bought DLC... and I could have swore I tried it with the DLC installer. Might not have though. But now...
