Is there a way to display Wii games in their original 4:3 aspect ratio on the Wii U's internal Wii/vWii?

Damn, that sucks. Could that be the reason why NSMBWii looks kinda ugly and a little pixelated (the 3D models) currently? It wasn't like that on my Wii. I guess TVs are generally better at converting 480p to 1080p than the Wii U. I wasn't expecting that. I was actually expecting Wii games to...

Is there a way to display Wii games in their original 4:3 aspect ratio on the Wii U's internal Wii/vWii?

Wii games natively support both 4:3 and 16:9, the latter actually having the same number of pixels. All content gets horizontally squished. Then setting your TV monitor to stretch the screen to 16:9 makes it look "normal" again. But I'm not a fan of this since this kinda makes the video quality...

Homebrew RELEASE MissionControl: Use controllers from other consoles natively via Bluetooth

Ah, you're right. It already works by just putting the files on the SD card and rebooting. It works great with the Wii U Pro Controller, even the rumbling. Only the pointer which is sometimes needed in 3D World and Captain Toad doesn't work, as it won't move by moving the controller but I don't...

Homebrew RELEASE MissionControl: Use controllers from other consoles natively via Bluetooth

Hi, My Switch is homebrewed with Atmosphere 1.2.5. I put the files on my SD card. But when I boot the Gallery app, thus hbmenu, MissionControl doesn't appear in the list. So I don't really understand how to install it. I hope someone can help me.

Playing Wii games on Gamepad (either with no motion support or mapped to the buttons)?

Do you know how to do this? Are there patches for some games (like DKC)? Or is there a tool that makes it possible to map the (motion) controls to your liking - and of course make the Wii U allow you to use the Gamepad's buttons and either the Gamepad or TV screen?

Playing Wii games on Gamepad (either with no motion support or mapped to the buttons)?

Is there a way to play Wii games on the Gamepad? Maybe motion controls could be mapped to the right analogue stick (movement) and some button (shaking). And of course there's Wii games that still work well without motion controls. I'm more of a handheld guy and not so much a "hand-moving" guy lol.

Tutorial Use your 3DS/WiiU Gamepad as a Switch controller

Sorry for the bump, but I have two questions about using the Wii U Gamepad as a Switch controller: 1 - In the video, the Switch isn't docked. Does this technique also work when it is docked? 2 - Would it be possible to cast the Switch's screen to the Gamepad's screen, so that you can play...

Hacking How likely/doable is it to decompile a DS game in 2021? And has any DS game been partly/fully decompiled before?

How likely/doable is it to decompile a DS game in 2021? What's such a process like and are there tools that make it easier? I suppose you first have to disassemble it and then "convert" it back to C/C++. Also has any DS game ever been partially or fully decompiled?

Hardware Is it possible to replace the V1's screen with the OLED Edition's one or even just a bigger LCD one?

Okay. What about a bigger LCD screen though? Or would it be too complicated to try to install a different, bigger screen into the Switch? Not sure if any third party screens for the Switch exist...

Hardware Is it possible to replace the V1's screen with the OLED Edition's one or even just a bigger LCD one?

Or alternatively, replace the OLED's motherboard with the V1's? I've seen some people saying these things *probably* wouldn't be possible, but those posts were from a couple of months ago, so perhaps someone has successfully done it by now. I don't mind the lack of an OLED screen particularly...
