    Key usage in homebrew

There's also the possibility that the particular system is modified in a way that prevents the keys to be properly dumped. When my emmc module died I had to use a donor dump that had serials masked to fix it, and although it mostly works as expected the one thing that fails is dumping my own keys.

Homebrew Homebrew app sys-patch - sysmod that patches on boot

I've seen this before so I'll give my 2 cents. You're obviously a hobbyist programmer and you focus more on getting the code to run rather than doing things the right way. I strongly suspect you're not using git or some other version control software either, just a bunch of folders scattered...

    Hogwarts Legacy on Mig?

Key cards are a switch 2 thing, while the MIG is strictly a switch 1 thing (that some brave souls are using on a switch 2 despite the risks). If you're referring to the switch 1 version of the game (released months ago) that has a day 1 patch then no, you can't put any patches on the MIG.

Switch banned. Nintendo not saying why.

You CAN get banned if your second hand game was previously dumped and used in a MIG cart. In that case you'd need to contact Nintendo customer support to provide proof of purchase and then they should unban you.

    Using latest sigpatches on 18.0.1

sigpatches are configured for each firmware version. You don't need to care which firmware version you have you can just replace with the latest sigpatches and it would just work. But all this is besides the point; you need to update your firmware if you want to run that game. It's that simple.

Has anyone actually been bricked by DBI?

No, you don't. I don't have an account on that site and was able to download just fine; in fact, I have never even seen the site before today. There are a lot of buttons on that page, but that's just how file hosters work these days. The one you want to look for is underneath the blue banner...

Has anyone actually been bricked by DBI?

None of it's in English so it may be difficult to navigate, but there is options to download without paying/joining stuff (which can be a pain since chinese sites all require cell phones for the account name). For example, you can click on the brown "城通" button, which opens a new tab. Then...

Has anyone actually been bricked by DBI?

Didn't see this anywhere but duckbill only has beef with English users. You can get chinese (T/S) and Japanese versions here: https://shipengliang.com/games/switch-dbi-%e5%9b%be%e6%96%87%e4%bd%bf%e7%94%a8%e6%95%99%e7%a8%8b.html#ins

    Cancelled my Cyberpunk 2077 pre-order

Read your own title. "Cancelled my Cyberpunk 2077 pre-order", that's what you've put there as your main point. All the smokescreen can't mask the fact that this post is about your ego.

Switch 2 game cards may be readable on Switch 1

It's from a screenshot of the switch 2 tech demo that everyone shits on because they're charging for it: https://x.com/dootskyre/status/1911896893090828394/photo/1 It'll allow the switch 2 to physically detect which generation card is inserted, but it won't prevent switch 2 cards from being...

Switch 2 game cards may be readable on Switch 1

The official webpage for Marvelous Games' Rune Factory: Guardians of Azuma has this passage: source: https://marvelousgames.com/news/rune-factory-guardians-of-azuma-nintendo-switch-2-faq Assuming this was not some kind of typo, this seems to be new information since the switch 2 game cards are...

Valve announces new OLED Steam Decks with up to 1TB internal storage and some hardware revisions

This post doesn't mention that the OLED versions also have a die size change (7nm -> 6nm) as well as faster ram (5500 MT/s -> 6400 MT/s)

Init eMMC Failed, no NAND backups

To add to Hayato123's answer: no, you cannot run emuEMMC without a working, physical eMMC inside the switch.

Init eMMC Failed, no NAND backups

Honestly not sure. Fixed it once and never had a problem again.

Help running switch without EMMC board

You must have a working physical eMMC module in order to run emuMMC. This is because emuMMC does not emulate the entire module completely and relies on the physical device in order to function correctly.
