I think the Dongle is the thing thats worth it regardless of using SX OS or other things.
TX is nice enough to add option to launch other stuff using their Dongle, so its useful for those who are not even using SX OS.
Online gameplay is the least desired aspect of the Switch console for me.
It was the home console level (albeit a bit of downgrade) experience with the added portability that was the most desired part of the Switch.
Due to this, every game I play on Switch is a single player main game, and I...
I actually bought 2 extra (both of which happened to be 4.1.0, fuck me...). So 3 in total.
1 for everyday no hassle use. I will update if necessary but will hold off update to higher firmware than current (its on current firmware at the moment though).
1 for hacking once CFW is ready.
1 for...
Save file backup, editing saves and real-time cheats are all I am looking for in terms of hacking consoles.
Wish I can hear concrete news in the future that those aspects are safe when hacking scene is more mature.
From my understanding,
Anything 3.0.0 and below are pretty much guaranteed to have softmod available from launch or soon after launch.
Between 3.0.1 and 4.1.0 (you have 3.0.2) are "EXPECTED" to receive softmod some time later (may be year 2020 who knows, likely end of this year?).
5.x.x and...
I tried buying that but Paypal refused to allow the transaction. Tried 5 times and all 5 times the transaction got reversed.
Had to buy another random one.
Not even that, I buy Switch games specifically for traveling in most cases.
If I am unable to play them on-the-go, the game is useless to me.
I am quite certain there are large number of players who need their games to be offline compatible.
Cheat is all I really need. And save backup too, I suppose, but thats not a choice here.
Money is not really an issue for me, especially in gaming prices (its dirt cheap compared to other hobbies I have).
As long as it saves me time and effort that can be better spent elsewhere, then I'm sold.
@SylverReZ, I also heard one of the Prince of Persia games was so unfinished that it required the "24/7 online" drm so a puzzle could be done and the game could be finished. And that when the Ubisoft servers were closed the (cracked) game was impossible to finish or something like that
I like that games can be fixed after the fact, hate that it's being abused via beta tests... And DLC... I was a 7800 owner back in the day and loved Impossible Mission, turns out I couldn't beat it because it was actually impossible lol
