    I've known the original omega to be rather delicate for many. I have had several friends whose units died for literally no reason. I'm probably one of the lucky ones who still has a working original Omega, and it's a unit from 2018 as well.

    Perhaps give it one more shot. If it doesn't work, I would try writing the stock kernel again to verify that there isn't a defect with your cartridge.
