Tutorial Setting up 9.0 - 9.2 N3DS/XL for CFW, including EmuNAND, Coldboot, CIA Installer

I've chosen the option "backup sysnand to file..." then it asked me which file and i chose nand.bin. I hope it is ok. It's working slowly with a percentage in the right corner auto TROUBLE: it says emunand setup failed! press b to return, start to reboot... what should i do?

Tutorial Setting up 9.0 - 9.2 N3DS/XL for CFW, including EmuNAND, Coldboot, CIA Installer

So, first of all I need to convert the .3ds file into a .cia format. The game will then load normally whenever I want, or will i have to, i don't know, open homebrew again repeating a certain procedure? Sorry for my stupid questions :D

Tutorial Setting up 9.0 - 9.2 N3DS/XL for CFW, including EmuNAND, Coldboot, CIA Installer

Another question. Once completed the procedure, all I have to do (in order to play games such as Pokemon X) is to convert it into the cia format and then instaling it? What about unistalling it? Running directly .3ds/.3dz games?

Tutorial Setting up 9.0 - 9.2 N3DS/XL for CFW, including EmuNAND, Coldboot, CIA Installer

An 8gb card would be enough for 2 games? If in the future I will use another sdcard, will I have to just copy all the files in the new, pre-formatted card?

Tutorial Setting up 9.0 - 9.2 N3DS/XL for CFW, including EmuNAND, Coldboot, CIA Installer

TROUBLE: at that point when you ask to dump the nad or whatever, i do not have that option! In this black screen, All i have is clone, restore, backup, convert (this backup option says Backup SysNand or Emunand to file)... and now? I guess it's too much difficult for me to follow this procedure...

Tutorial Setting up 9.0 - 9.2 N3DS/XL for CFW, including EmuNAND, Coldboot, CIA Installer

Ok I'll try it. Then... i'm using the nintendo sd card... is it worth it? I mean, will I be able to install at least one game on it? Or will i have to switch to a more capable card? Meaning with more gb

Tutorial Setting up 9.0 - 9.2 N3DS/XL for CFW, including EmuNAND, Coldboot, CIA Installer

I got a yellow screen and the console crashed. I reboot the 3ds and now I've got two new apps (anim channel and apparently a new game)...?? EDIT: got into the homebrew launcher finally. When the screen became colourful I was panicking, but now looks like I've made it. I'll continue with the...

Thanks. I didn't know what to copy (the files only or the folders too). Now I've understood ;) Let's get this thing started, I hope it will work! Anyway, thanks for your support so far ;)

Tutorial Setting up 9.0 - 9.2 N3DS/XL for CFW, including EmuNAND, Coldboot, CIA Installer

I need an explanation. At the very beginning of this tutorial, you say you have to put in the sd card some files you found in the fbi, emunand ecc packages. But, first of all, when I open the \3ds folder, it has more sub folders than yours in the image, plus I do not have a Emunand folder inside...

Thanks. I'm looking forward to download directy the cia file, or maybe converting the format to cia one. The tutorial you linked me... how much time will it require? A couple of hours?

Hacking 3DS NOOB PARADISE - Ask questions here

Thanks ;) What if I already have a game in the 3dz format? First of all, what does that mean (I thought that should be .3ds with the S not Z)? Furthermore, do I risk to be banned from online?

Hacking 3DS NOOB PARADISE - Ask questions here

Well, too many replies to read ;) I have recently bought a new nintendo 3ds and surprisingly it has still the 9.0 firmware (european version). What can I do in order to play rom games on my console, avoiding bricks and buying flashcarts (which are very expensive here and resellers aren't so...

Thanks a lot ScarletKohaku ;) As I've just said, it's like wandering in a mysterious world for me. All these people talking with this short names, mixed words with numbers and letters... I hope I will make it ;) Since it's late night here, I think I'll just scroll that section you linked me and...

    Ciao ;) (Hello)

Hi ;) Actually I would like to know more about homebrew, .cia files and stuff like that. To be honest, I'm one of those guys who uses a computer without knowing anything of its components and how do they work. That's the same for the 3ds. I'm actually confused about what's the right place to...
