Was less focused about Tensor cores & more so that it's pretty much inevitable that Nintendo will eventually opt for 8nm one way or another, & that hoping for 7nm is really a pipedream quite frankly. It's also why it's a blessing that Nintendo may take some time to release a 8nm revision, as...
Can't really see 7nm happening IMO for a new Switch as Nvidia decided against using TSMC 7nm, & all talks of Lovelace (the next gen architecture for Nvidia) is unanimously agreed to be based on TSMC 5nm. For the sake of supply, 8nm is probably gonna be the best case scenario for a new Nintendo...
What luck have people had with memory overclocking with the 3200mhz limit removed? Bandwidth seems to be a massive limitation, & having no limits in sys-clk would be quite of an interesting experiment.
Strangely enough with the 60FPS mod, Doom Eternal appears to be the sole game that happens to give a shit load of artifacts when running the CPU at 1.785ghz. It's more so visually annoying if anything, & I have never once encountered a crash within my game because of it. So something seems...
As much as I hate dealing with shimmering as a result of no AA, I utterly despise dealing with TAA on the low resolutions that comes with resolutions as 360p. Thank God image sharpening in Doom 2016 & Doom Eternal helps make the image not turn too much into a blurry mess.
Also as another query, what setting is required to be modified to use Handheld Mode without the crap with the dynamic clocks? I just want to lock it to max clocks, without it suddenly going down to 384mhz, then 460mhz, then back to 921mhz
The modded port in of itself is a decent experience for lighter firefights, although if you throw in any particle heavy weaponry that shit can easily drop to the mid 30's even with a solid OC in place & disabling outlines. Might just be purely anecdotal though, I've heard a bunch of other people...
Has anyone tested to see if the Nintendo certified Powercore 20,100mah battery allows for more than 768mhz on GPU? The non-Nintendo approved one looks largely the same albeit with a Nintendo logo, so I'd see not much reason for it to go beyond 768mhz.
Any chance someone could do a mod to restore Doom 2016's audio quality back to parity with the other versions a la The Witcher 3? Been enjoying using the stock 60FPS mod for it btw, works beautifully despite the occasional drops back to 30 with large amounts of enemies.
