    nah, it can definitely have hardware failures while still being able to boot up. saw it happen with some dude on reddit anyway if OP tried various SDs then it's most likely the 3DS :/ if only you could use the same SD on another 3DS without formatting...

    Ohh damn I'm sorry. :X anyway I was kinda sleepy and didn't connect that Init SD = Memory Card emulation. Temporarily fixed it by setting the size number to 132 blocks I believe? I'm using a different SD card than before so I guess that's related to that. Works fine now, though. My bad.
