Enjoy the game key cards while you can. The next alternative is zero physical releases. I'm putting in my prediction now that the next console will be digital only.
The benefit of game key cards is you can resell your digital games. Nobody likes it, now we will have no options. There is no...
The biggest issue I see is that 1080P gaming (even if they fix this) is that it is just not feasible for the Lite to handle. Out of all the revisions, the Lite is the most power limited of them all. It simply cannot handle overclocking to achieve the performance necessary without destroying the...
It's already out, and you don't have to overclock. You can play the whole game at 720P, and it only drops frames on the rooftop at a random moment in endgame and the final boss momentarily
The best display for the PS3 is one of those multi-sync BVM 16:9 CRTs. Almost none of the "720P" televisions back in the day were 720P, they were 768P and scaled like you are worried about. Don't bother searching for that 720P television, the CRT is the best one
It’s just a shame that most S1 games are going to look stretched and blurry by default without developer patches.
I’m not going to be influenced by the toxic positivity into believing they are not, I’m looking at it myself.
The Switch 2 also has high persistence blur from having low pixel...
Well the battery is user replaceable. Why not just carry 3-4 batteries around and just swap them in when needed.
You can also remove the screws on the backplate with some effort, then you won’t need a screw driver anymore. It won’t fall out either.
For a long time I wanted a glass screen protector for the DSi XL. The plastic films being offered online negatively impact the image quality, usually with a matte haze over the whole picture. This isn't present on glass protectors, because they are all glossy finishes. After doing some research...
I find it to be a better experience on the DS consoles. The pixel art and of course the whole DS gimmick is something that should be experienced. Even if it doesn't "rely" on it, every other version is a compromise in my eyes.
Left is DS and right is 3DS. The pixels are sharp, they are much blurrier on the 3DS. Don't let a "smooth" image fool you, it's blur not an increase of resolution.
I don’t want smooth. I want sharp 1:1 pixels, the intended experience.
You might like the smooth, but it’s clearly blurry to me. I don’t recommend anybody play like this when the DSi XL exists, and is so cheap to buy.
If you're also into dating sim visual novels, check out LovePlus+ (if you can read Japanese) but the original release has a great English fan translation as well
You just misused another word, "crispier", that's just a synonym of sharper. :rofl2:
Regardless, I'm extremely sensitive to scaling blur. This is certainly not far off from the look of DS games played at full screen on a 3DS system. I like to use that as an example because it's something so...
