    I doubt it, fairly sure they’ve done something similar for previous games too. Both World and Rise on Steam are similarly priced for the base game.

    To be fair it's not just Nintendo. Marvelous have used it for all of their games across both platforms as far as I know. SEGA did but only for Sonic Racing for some reason, then you have Trails in the Sky, Overcooked, Tamagotchi Plaza, and LolliPop Chainsaw to name a few off the top of my head...
