Cyan, r200 is r194. As DNC decided to branch his matrix experiments (which is a good idea). So there have been no changes in the main builds since my last one r194. I had a working gui done with libgui but I have a few things to finish up before I can commit. Right now it will have to wait...

Yeah, with yoshi island or any other 2D games you will not see any speed increase. The GX updates we are working on are only for 3D.

Thanks that would help out. Please if you get a chance update the http://wiibrew.org/wiki/DeSmuME_Wii/Compatibility_List with what you find.

@Cyan, Sorry to hear that Cyan, how long have you had your Wii? There's certainly nothing special with Desmume that would cause that. Hopefully it can be fixed, you've been a great help with testing. @alp63, Yes I'm aware of the color issues, we need to do an end-to-end on the gpu code and...

Huh??? Yeah that's talking about THIS emulator. WiiDS was the original post, basically later we found out that it was just a GUI, there was no real working emulator. However Arikado has been working on a port of Desmume for over a year, recently several of us got together to lend a hand and...

I would never bash you old buddy I think maybe your calc's are off, I ran a test last week and we have about 4MB in MEM1 and 27MB in MEM2. By lowering the variables for the texture cache you effectively told the software when to stop caching textures when that value is reached (or at least...

No it could possibly slow down the emulation to a crawl. The cache probably should be small and fast, I've not tested enough to get the exact figure. Think about it if the cache increases and the whole rom could fit inside then great. If not and a request is outside the cache you're freading...

Because the Wii does not have enough memory to load the rom we cache part of it then have to read from USB/SD if the area is not in the cache. USB read/write seems to be generally slower than SD. The SD or USB is constantly being accessed so it's not a good idea to remove your media while...

Exactly what I'm thinking firnis. I know for a fact that super princess peach creates a save right after boot and that game has a white screen.

@cyan, 25minutes to create the save? That's strange, I'll have to look at that. Do you know of any other games this happens with? Thanks !

No it was an endian issue with the colors. I'm sure there are others we need to fix. I'll look at the Avalon intro when I get time. Thanks for the update.

@Cyan, Thanks did not know about those texture problems. I'll take a look. EDIT: - I just fixed some color issues in r170, although I'm still looking at the sprite color issues in Yoshi Touch'n'Go. in r170 there should be no more strange pink screens and the backdrops should now be correct.

Sounds right. Because we are still heavily debugging and have no GUI we have stolen a lot of buttons. Unfortunately only A + B are available when you have a nunchuk. I would imagine we'd map the buttons better once we have a GUI to show the debug info, change the screen and select the frame...
