Is it possible to use a second Switch to rebuild the eMMC of a non-working Switch

Just thought I'd post an update on my attempt. I took a replacement eMMC and then had Hekate pull the BOOT0 and BOOT1 from the replacement eMMC. This was mainly to have Hekate create the proper hexadecimal folder name as these would be useless when rebuilding my old NAND. Using the prod.keys and...

Is it possible to use a second Switch to rebuild the eMMC of a non-working Switch

Great! I'll give it a shot this weekend. (I have the prod.keys and PRODINFO for the eMMC that needs to be rebuilt, so we'll see how it goes.)

Is it possible to use a second Switch to rebuild the eMMC of a non-working Switch

I don't mean for booting purposes (no operating system is involved whatsoever). A software analogy would be cross-compiling code on one machine to be used on another machine. Here, I want to boot the working Switch into Hekate (i.e. not the Nintendo OS) and use Hekate to write the eMMC (NAND)...

Is it possible to use a second Switch to rebuild the eMMC of a non-working Switch

So I have an Switch V2 that goes into a black screen after first showing the Nintendo logo and then the Switch logo. I tried to rebuild and reflash the eMMC but when running SystemRestoreV3.te, the script has a fatal crash when trying to write the bis data. The problem is likely either the eMMC...

Switch OLED no longer powers on after accidental short

Yeah, I left my wire just a tad too long (I don't use the flex cables other than the CPU), so when I soldered it to the 3.3V point, it extended just enough to touch the tiny cap, and the one time I just assumed all was good turned out for the worst :-( 1751702343 I ended up doing a blind M92...

Switch OLED no longer powers on after accidental short

I was installing a Picofly into an OLED unit and didn't notice that I had accidentally shorted the 3.3V to the super tiny cap to the bottom left of the 3.3V caps. I was in a rush and skipped checking the connection in diode mode (stupid of me, as I always check all my connections in the prior 50...

Hacking Hardware Picofly - a HWFLY switch modchip

I would get some clear plexiglass or something similar that you can use to simulate putting the shell back on. This way, you can also see the light to see any error codes. I have two guesses: 1) something is being shorted with the case one, but that doesn't short when the case is removed (very...

    PS1/2 HDLBATCH 1.1 Update (100MB/s - 150MB/s PS2 HDD batch installer using HDL DUMP)

HDLBATCH is compatible with uLaunchELF but is not compatible with WinHiip. 1666987155 Did you run as an Administrator? If you open a command line manually and then run it, it should tell you what the error is if there is one. But make sure to open the command line prompt via "Run as...

PS1/2 A way to Batch rename PS2 iso's to just title ID without Game ID?

Just use: https://gbatemp.net/threads/hdlbatch-1-1-update-100mb-s-150mb-s-ps2-hdd-batch-installer-using-hdl-dump.551420/ It doesn't care what the file is named since it grabs the title from a database (text file). Make sure to format the drive using uLaunch on the PS2 first, though.

    Gamecube Bluetooth Controller Board!

You can use just about any Bluetooth controller. I've tested with PS3, PS4, XBox One, Series X/S, and the 8Bitdo NS30 Arcade Stick, and Switch controllers.

Hacking Homebrew GCN PicoBoot - GameCube IPL replacement modchip using Raspberry Pi Pico

UPDATE: So in my own case, I started with 30 AWG (wrapping wire) and later tried 28 and 26. None of them seemed to give me any success regardless of how short I made the wires. I finally took apart an ethernet cable (the label on the outside indicated the individual wires inside were 24 AWG)...
