Plug in the DS and remove the battery. I measured 3.5volts with a volt meter (set to DC volts) on the two little battery + - contacts.
That would indicate that the charger is providing voltage to the battery.
If you get zero than you have your answer.
Also check the fuses like they mentioned...
My only input is that these batteries Li-ion batteries prefer partial discharges. That's one reason (I read) that the DS will turn on the red LED at 30% discharge not lower or fully down.
Leaving it plugged in will not hurt it but the batteries are designed to be used. One thing to avoid is...
If you never took apart any electronic small devices like maybe an ipod, tv remote control or game controlers I would not try it.
If you want to practice see if you can take apart a calculator with buttons and put it back together.
From my experience the first time you do it you more than...
OK, I can't get it to run.
I see on the top screen "ROM Maximum Overload" and spinning graphic.
Below I see the game icons, I scroll to one and select.
Once I select it shows "LOADING preparing save file 1" & 2 then it says
"I give up ... loads of frags please reformat the drive."
I did...
Yes, I found some reviews and they sound like some good results.
Some of the users claim 1.5 times longer and some equal to OEM for the same bat.
But some have actually also claimed they don't last.
So for $6.00 x 2, I will try it out.
thx.
Agreed they are tiny but you can try it for that price or buy a broken screen/hinge DS and use that mobo from it. Then sell the rest of it as parts and try to recover some of the cost.

Has anyone found a good battery replacement that is not the original $15.00 Nintendo one.
I would like to buy 2 for my mod and $30 for OEM is a bit much.
OK, I have a small update:
Since I am adding the battery in parallel all I did was put a positive and negative wire on the mobo going to the second battery to the gba slot. This will eliminate the need to go to a switch.
Here is how I did that. The touch screen still fits pretty good with the...
Charge the battery the recommended 4hrs and unplug the charger.
The li-ion do not have memory. But they can be degraded if left on the charger for a long time (ie. over nite).
OK I did some more research and have discovered that the parallel battery will work as long as the mAh is the same for both batteries. The two batteries will level each other out if connected and left alone for a period of time before I apply them to the DS. Then the charger (circuit) will just...
Imagine the LED possibilities on a clear case if this works well.
You could dedicate one battery full time to running the LEDs alone.
I will be adding one LED to try this out.
I still need to collect all the materials. ie. wire, shrink wrap, connector, switches and new ds case.
I mean yeah sure but the specs are the same as a $50 model, it's just those pesky "quality of life" things driving up the price, like an actually working speaker, or buttons that don't melt, and stuff like that.
I think all in my Pi 4 was well north of 200 bucks 150ish for the Pi 4 the case the fancy cooler, then like 70 for the 500GB MicroSD then like 70 for the Xbox controller. But honestly it's a nice set up I really enjoy and to me was worth every penny. (even bought more controllers for 2 or 4 player games.) hmmm have never played any 2 player games yet
Yeah that's what I hate about the RPi, it's supposedly $30 or something but it takes an additional $200 of accessories to actually turn it into a working something.
Yeah a lot of it I consider a hobby, using Batocera I am constantly adjusting the collection adding and removing stuff, scraping the artwork. Haven't even started on some music for the theme... Also way down the road I am considering attempting to do a WiiFlow knock off lol
