    Got it! After removing and putting numerous cables back together and really ensuring they were tight it works beautifully! I had to reseat cables over and over and eventually it worked. Crazy how it looks perfectly seated and the is have to reseat it again and it works. Persistence pays off!

    That solved it. I bit the bullet and bought Brain Age DS and did the Haxchi exploit. Thanks! Now its just a matter of these emulators actually saving my game files and configurations in their settings... mGBA is proving to not work (saves states freeze and save configurations for the settings...
