    Sure there is: replacing the touchscreen. This guide is generally much nicer than the one I had when I tried to do that on my old DS, you might as well go for 100% completion.

    This looks excellent, I can't wait to try it out. If you're interested in GoL, this site is a good place to start. There's all kinds of links and info about the stuff you can do with it. For example, this guy implemented a complete Universal Turing Machine in Game of Life.
